The Naked Fun in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 62

Has Jordon Peele ever showed any interest in directing a superhero movie? Or an X-Men movie? Maybe it wouldn't be as good as what you are all imaging in your heads.

I personally don't like any of Peele's movies, but he is an immensely talented director. I think he'd kill a franchise movie if he was interested in something like that, which I haven't gotten then inclination that he is, but you never know.

I miss Iceman on the boards :csad: I hope he's doing okay, he hasn't posted since April. I think he was going through some kind of a tough, time-consuming family situation.

Yeah I'm glad someone else brought him up because it honestly feels like it's been forever since he's posted here but I'm glad to hear he's doing well and Im definitely looking forward to his return.

These boards just don't feel the same without him especially with so many quality superhero movies out here right now and I really do miss hearing his really honest input on Marvel films.

Also as bad as the drops have been for First Steps it's still going to make quite a bit of money domestically even if it just barely ends up finishing above or under Sinners.

It's definitely not crossing $300M domestic which sucks and I'm sure the studio was expecting so much more from it but I'm still hoping for it to atleast break the $500M barrier even if it's not by much.

On the other hand though Weapons breaking out the way it is is such a great thing to see especially coming off Sinners and Bloodlines which I also very much enjoyed.

It's currently my third favorite horror film of the year just behind Sinners and Bring Her Back and it also has my favorite ending out of any film I've seen this year so far.

I love Bloodlines. Love it. But I've loved the series since day one and only don't enjoy 4.

The movie that I suffered through recently, and I'd argue is the worst movie I've watched this decade, is the How to Train Your Dragon remake. It is one of the most embarrassing, disgusting exercises I can remember. It's like watching a soul of a film being removed by a director who clearly doesn't know how to shoot in live action.
I can't speak to Bloodlines, but HTTYD depressed me more than any movie in quite some time. Just a completely empty (and ugly) husk of a film. Even the worst Disney remakes brought more new moments/ideas to the table than this. And people ate it up.
