Ok so now the trailer is out no one can say "Wait for the trailer!" i hope.

Now someone is going to say wait for the theatrical trailer before deciding. Funny how that works, huh?

I have to admit that people saying, "Wait for the theatrical trailer." are stupid. Make up your minds if you want to hold your opinions until the first teaser trailer or until FOX releases something extremely great. I'm saying this only if what we saw is the actual trailer and not just Expo promos. I guess since this is the hate thread I'll list my gripes with the trailer:

-Whooshing sounds=Extremely annoying
-Party fight has too much emphasis
-Not enough stuff for Chi Chi or Yamcha
-Not enough footage of Goku in gi
-Roshi's Amazing Technicolor Hair. First he has a beard, then he doesn't. Then his hair is black, then it's gray. Weird.
-Music is too....nonepic

I think that's it.

My analysis:

1. Roshi's monologue about the dragon balls: Lacks a certain magical element to it. However I do like the temple scene with the monks

2. Goku with the Dragonball: AHHH! Nostalgic goodness! It was poignant!

3. Goku training with Roshi: Are they in a warehouse? They look like they are doing Tai-Chi. Love the blue GI though and im opening the suicase to reveal his signature orange GI.

4. Jeep Scene and Eclipse: Was that Ironhide? LOL! It was fine but Goku looked like he was ****** off at the eclipse

5. Chi-Chi: My My! I don't remember her being so irresistible! Nice! I hope they don't screw over her character like in DBZ

6. Goku fighting bullies: Meh! I mean, it looked so generic!!!

7. Roshi and Mai jumping from balconies: FOX - We make badasses out of cartoon caricatures who can never be taken seriously! Good!

8. Sports Car/Bumblebee (Yes is IS a 2009 Camaro): Vin Diesel: Hey Goku! Let's race!! Thousand bucks to the winner!

Goku: Sure! Cause we are the "Fast and the Furious!"

9. Garden Fight: Um.. whatever. Pretty generic and uninteresting

10. Jumping out of the fire: Cool! But save it for the die hard movies. They could have made it "WTF!!" by having a KI blast instead of the fire

11. Roshi speaks: Plot exposition and nothing more

12. White Piccolo: Joker: No! No! No! I'm white, you are GREEN!

13. Goku Falling: Wide shot would have been better

14. Training: What was happening there?

15. Pics of the characters with their names: How unsophisticated and childish. This is Dragonball not Power Rangers

15 1/2. Various scenes: GOKU (Love Bulma on the bike), BULMA (What was Goku doing? Rolling in the dirt?), YAMCHA (I CAN HAS DESERT? No seriously. Make it the Australian outback or something!), MAI (Very Crouching Tiger, then again she pretty was like that in the original), ROSHI (HOLY ****!! Tell me that green light was the MAFUBA beam to seal Piccolo), PICCOLO (Come with me to the DAAARRRK SIIIDEEE! I AM YOUR FATHER!)

16. Goku using KI: I hope it was that! I seriously do! It looked like it!

17. Big Explosions: Micheal Bay approves. I found it cheap looking!

18. Chi-Chi and Mai facing off in gowns with a fire burning in the back : Did they ever fight in the series? Shall I call Beatrix Kiddo A.K.A The Black Mamba from KILL BILL?

19. Kiss: This one is fine by me because in this day and age, even little boys who grew up in forests know what women are and the value of a kiss.

20. Goku Posing: I CAN HAS SPIRIT BOMB? That or he's charging up!

21. Logo: Could they BE any more mediocre.

This film looks terrible. Once again Fox takes something popular, puts the smallest amount of effort into making it into a film and expects people to pay to see it.

What I think Fox is relying on are the non DB fans making up a bulk of filmgoers. But once critics rip this film to shreds then nobody will be interested in seeing it.

2. Chi Chi= Looks too Amercianized looks nothing like her anime/magna counterpart

3. Bulma= More of her can be blue.

4. Yamcha= Why does he has a grenade?

5. Goku= Lacks hero qualities.

6. Promo= I would be ashmaed to even show this at a expo. I mean the effects are blantaly obvious not fininshed even half way. Jamie kicking and Chow jumping with Mai does not flow you can see thats its wirework by the look on actors faces and by the way the move. The chi does not look solid in anyway looks like colored wind being thrown around followed by a woshing sound. What was that green "beam" Roshi did looks like slimer from ghostbusters. All because you can flip in every direction does not mean you know Martial Arts.

let me tell u smth about the non db fans : one of my friends had no clue what db/dbz/dbgt was untill he met me...so far i wasn't been able to make him watch at least one episode...but since with this movie and everything...i kinda kept him updated and told him what's the difference between this movie and the original anime story...and guess what...he actually disapproves what they've done to the movie and says that it looks too much like spider-man and smallville and he also thinks that they've gone way too far with this adaptation excuse for a lame movie...so he's on our side now....if that's gonna happen among other non db fans-guess what-james' wong ''dream'' will fall apart..hahahahahahahahaha i surely hope so

Looking at there previous track record, this film would have to be the icing on the cake of Epic Failures. It's like they watched 2 episodes of DB and figured the rest was not important. Nothing about that trailer gave me that "i've got to see this movie" feeling, the movie seemed rushed from jump, the trailer looks rushed, and they pushed the film back to work on special effects...........ok? A chain of explosions that looked like the same chain of explosions that blew up in front of the power rangers.........WOW

Looking at there previous track record, this film would have to be the icing on the cake of Epic Failures. It's like they watched 2 episodes of DB and figured the rest was not important. Nothing about that trailer gave me that "i've got to see this movie" feeling, the movie seemed rushed from jump, the trailer looks rushed, and they pushed the film back to work on special effects...........ok?
