The original movie made you believe they were scientists because they SHOWED them as scientists. We haven't even seen the specifics of them as scientists yet. How can we make a determination on whether they're believable in context of being experts in their field or not?
What exactly isn't believeable about it thus far?
The way they look? The way they act?
Since when did scientists have to look or act a certain way?
And who says Leslie Jones is a scientist? It looks like she works a blue collar job.
Not the way they look, the way they act. Particularly McCarthy.
I explained it in my post. McCarthy is just acting like all of her other roles, just slapstick. Wiig looks like she's sleep walking. I'm not buying McKinnon as a Mechanical Engineer. Sorry, but no. (yes I've worked with mechanical engineers before). I know Jones isn't a scientist, that's why I said she's the most believable of all, she's playing the loud obnoxious part, doesn't take much acting chops to do that.
