Perhaps you were being an obnoxious a-hole. Dunno.
Nope. Never talked to him.

With Pets starting out this high at the box office, it is quite conceivable it will beat Sony’s Ghostbusters for the No. 1 spot next weekend, as that pic is currently projected between $35M-$41M.
The road to Fant4astic begins... The budget is like 150M, right? With that OW is aiming at half of that in DOM total grossDeadline now says it's tracking to open between 35-41M.

It's hilarious.....generally, he says something about some movie and then there are 20 pages of people in that movie's forum saying he isn't worth reading he's not worth listening to.....but that's all they can talk about for 20 pages. If he's not worth reading......don't read him.

Not great but Paul Feig movies do tend to have legs. Spy had 2nd & 3rd week drops of 46% & 28%. The Heat had 36% & 43% drops & Bridesmaids had back to back 20% drops.

Have to disagree on that. He is either pretty good at deleting the negative comments or they have given up & moved on. If you go to a Birth Movies Death article its usually 100-200 comments of people agreeing with what he has to say.
The Heat opened about one week after World War Z and two weeks after MOS.What were those films up against?
Sorry, misunderstood. Your post was a response to JMC's, who was suggesting that if this is actually a decent movie then it must be the victim of horrible marketing, so I thought that's what you were referring to when you said "the same thing happened to Independence Day."If that was to me... Um, what? it was in regards to twitter saying it was initially good, thus why I will wait for actual reviews. I never stated marketing....![]()
Patton is good friends with Paul Feig and his late wife worked on the movie in some capacity. My condolences to his wife, but let's wait for actual critical reaction on Sunday.
Don't know if anyone posted this yet, but Patton Oswalt saw the movie:
"Just saw an early screening of GHOSTBUSTERS. It's fun. It's scary. It's terrific. Stay 'til after the credits."

About the post credits sequence:
"I can objectively say the post-credits scene is better than that [fan idea parodying Avengers]. People will be happy."

Did the AVGN guy even ***** about the all-female cast? It seems odd they went after him so harshly just because he said he isn't going to review the movie. I get that Devin and Patton and others want this movie to be successful because it stars four women (and big blockbuster properties like Ghostbusters rarely have women as the leads) and I understand that, but I just don't think its going to happen with this movie.
