Even amongst all the rigamarole I suspect this film will do pretty ****ing well in July.
Whats the tracking on it?

My daughter is 9 years old. She stopped playing with dolls several years ago. She now plays with Superhero action figures and Star Wars action figures (when not playing stuff like minecraft).....just a couple of days ago she bought Starlord's ship the "Milano" with her allowance. She liked that it came with the Peter Quill figure but was upset there was no Gamora figures at the store. We plan to go shopping for them this weekend. Apparently the girl action figures are very hard to find. It's like the characters for her Disney Marvel Infinity game. It took forever for her to get the Black Widow piece she wanted....because they did not sell them individually. The BWs only came in a two pack with another character (and thus twice the price). So these parents actually want their little girl to play with action figures and not their dolls or whatever's popular?
As I said....my daughter wants the Star Wars stuff.....but the Rey character is hard to find. That's fine and well, but do little girls really want to play with the latest Star Wars playset or whatever's more popular with girls at the moment?
There are a lot of all kinds of characters on the racks that I see. My local WalMart has hundreds of Batman and Superman action figures that no one has bought. Do boys not like Batman and Superman anymore?Like I said, there's an abundance of female Marvel Legends on the racks that aren't being bought.
From what I have seen for the last few decades....it all depends on how the movie does. The movie is a hit....the toys sell. The movie is a bust....the toys don't sell. And I bet anything these female ghostbusters will not sell much.
The biggest thing I get from your posts is.....you really seem to be bothered by women invading your all male fandom. Times are changing. You are going to have to actually interact with women now a days. That's why I always thought the constant complaining about the lack of female action figures was dumb.
