It was someone here in Sydney working on preproduction. He felt it okay to tell since they shut down production ages ago with no hope of coming back. At the time they said "maybe" they would get their jobs back but of course that never came to pass.
I wish he would of gave a description of what Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter's costume were going to look like. Those two were the only ones he didn't mention. I assume the costume for John Stewart was going to look similar to the cartoon and comics, but it would of been interesting to read what they had in mind of J'onn J'onzz.

Since this is old news, here is some "Justice League:Mortal" info I heard before:

- There was no Hall of Justice - they didn't really join officially as 'The Justice League' until the very end of the film.

- There were a lot of scenes in the Batcave, Fortress of Solitude (including a replica of the Kent Family Homestead that Clark had built there), Wonder Woman's house, Aquaman's underwater throne room, Barry Allen's house, Maxwell Lord's mansion/headquarters.
-Superman's costume was all blue except for gold belt and red cape, and had Kryptonian lettering etched into its fabric, a digital print along his arms, like electronic data. His belt had fine detail that told the story of how he landed on earth.

-Batman's suit was all black, more like a soldier/army/special ops sort of thing. Very bulky and solid and practical. He carried tools on his belt, gas grenades etc. Not as futuristic or sleek as the Nolan one.

- Wonder Woman's was realistic, ancient Greek warrior - leather bodice, battle-skirt. There was detail in the belt that had Greek symbols. No stars or spandex etc.

-Aquaman had the modern look - long hair, green scaly tights, golden armor, but assymetrical, so his left shoulder was exposed. His left hand had a harpoon attachment.

-Flash had a classic suit - full red bodysuit, flash logo on chest, runners, the golden ear wings were smaller, and went straight back instead of outwards.

That's all I got.
Bold=Things i DON'T like.
Underline=Things i DO like.

Superman: John Hamm
Batman: Christian Bale
Wonder Woman: Gemma Arterton or Olga Kurylenko
Green Lantern: Ryan Reynolds
Flash: Joseph Gordon Levitt
Aquaman: Michael Fassbender
Martian Manhunter: Lance Reddick

Why do Flash and Aquaman get their standard suits but they feel the need to mess with Batman's and Superman's? Because we've seen their suits before so they must design something new and sell new toys? **** THEM!!!

Could not agree with you more. Wonder Woman's sounded pretty neat, until you got to the no stars and stripes thing.

Well i never really understood why WW would dress like an American stripper. She is an Amazon and yet you'll never see an Amazonian, Greek, Ancient Greek, etc flag in there. Its like the Amazons were the most patriotic Americans out there! If it was up to me to redesign the suit, i'd keep the colour scheme about the same but remove the stars, and give her a skirt.

Didn't she adopt the American flag so she could be seen as a hero and not a threat? I think she took to the American flag much the same way that Superman did -- they're not from here, but they're going to protect us and want to show that they're "one" with us.

Superman was raised as an American, and at the end of the day yes he uses the colours of the flag, but he doesnt look like it the way Cap does. WW looks like a female version of Cap. If people can accept aliens, why wouldnt they accept WW, forcing her to dress like the american flag?
And like i said, its not just Diana. Hippolyta and others have been drawn numerous times wearing the stars and stripes and that coupled with the fact that there is no Amazon/Greek flag anywhere in sight really makes it seem like they are Americans. I just dont get it. You'd think that like about everything else, they'd be really arrogant about flags and symbols as well.

Captain Awesome is telling me that this is Awesome.:awesome:
Having Jon Hamm as Superman would make sense in JLA movie because his age would match up well with Bales. I know Superman is only a year or so older than Bruce but Hamm and Bale look around the same age IMO.
Perfect Batman,GL,Aquaman and Manhunter. I want the KING of Atlantis to look like a man.
Interesting Barry Allen(?) and Wonder Woman choices. Not my first options but they are definitely in my top 5.

Unfortunately the only way a Justice League movie in our time would work would be if they had Brandon Routh play Superman, Christian Bale play Batman, and Ryan Reynolds play the Green Lantern because fans are already going to be invested in those characters, if they change them within the same decade the fans will lose interest and it wouldn't make as much money, so for all our sakes, we need to hope for those 3 to agree.

JUSTICE LEAGUE
Superman/Clark Kent-Brandon Routh
Batman/Bruce Wayne-Christian Bale
Green Lantern/Hal Jordan-Ryan Reynolds
Wonder Woman/Princess Diana-Bridget Regan (Looks EXACTLY like her)
The Flash/Barry Allen-Michael Weatherly (Has the smart ass personality)
Aquaman/Arthur Curry-Josh Holloway (this Aquaman isn't the boy scout from Super Friends, but not a hobo looking guy with a mullet. He's in between.)
INJUSTICE GANG
Lex Luthor-Kevin Spacey
The Riddler-Zachary Quinto
Poison Ivy-Emily Blunt OR Erin Cummings. Only one I had trouble with.
Gorilla Grodd-Andy Serkis (For those of you who don't know, Andy CGIed King Kong in the King Kong movie. This would basically be the same thing)
Sinestro-Mark Strong
Cheetah-America Olivo
Black Manta-Harold Perrineau (If his mask didn't fall off, you could use anyone)
Doomsday-Stone Cold Steve Austin (Though he has a rap as a bad actor, this character rarely says any full sentences, and Stone Cold already has a big body and bald head, allowing only minimal work to be done for this character)

The plot should read as follows:
Film opens with Lex Luthor devising a plan on his computer to defeat the Justice League named PROJECT INJUSTICE. Pans to files on his desk on The Riddler, Poison Ivy, Cheetah, Gorilla Grodd, Sinestro, & Black Manta, as his computers determines the locations of the 6 people. Pre movie credits end as he grins and prints the coordinates and as he logs off you see on his computer, the words "Cadmus experiment: DOOMSDAY" as the screen goes black.

Next scene is of Superman coping with his regular day life at the Daily Planet with Lois Lane, Olsen, and White. He is talking about Superman’s recent victory over Toyman & Parasite. The feat that he conquered TWO villains at the same time. He then sees on the TV Lex Luthor has issued a threat to Superman about a bomb in front of the a big building. Superman exits to attack the threat.

Bruce Wayne is in town in Metropolis in his limo with Alfred when he sees the alert for bomb. Knowing he will miss his press conference, he dons the Batsuit and heads off into the night.

Luthor meets with Superman in the middle of a large open area and Superman threatens to take him to jail but Luthor seems calm, then out of nowhere, Sinestro attacks Superman into a wall, followed by Grodd picking him up and throwing him, caught in vines by Poison Ivy and brought down in front of the Riddler who finishes it off with a punch from kryptonite infused brass knuckles. Leading fight in which Superman is about to be beat til Batman shows up and saves him and takes him away.

Superman wakes up in a penthouse in Metropolis and seeing Bruce he panics as he starts to run away but due to his injuries doesn’t make it far. Bruce tells him that he rescued him and that he won’t reveal his secret. Superman doesn’t know Bruce is Batman yet.

As Superman returns to the Daily Planet, he learns that this new team dubbed “The Injustice Gang” has taken down The Flash, The Green Lantern, & Wonder Woman. As he leaves the Daily Planet for the day he is approached by Aquaman, and it is revealed they know each other. They learn that Lex has orchestrated this team to beat Superman, but it is affecting all the superheroes and if they don’t ban together they will all be taken out. He then shows him that he rescued the other three and they will make a stand against the Injustice Gang.

The gang breaks into a Cadmus Labs facility in Gotham and meet Amanda Waller who is critically wounded in an attempt to hide the location of an experiment that they were conducting. As Batman arrives and is questioning her, he is approached by the team and they tell him about the idea, and Superman comes to realize that he is the man that saved him. Batman shrugs them off and thinks he doesn’t need them.

Batman tracks the team to a facility in Metropolis and is discovered and attacked by them and beaten, almost killed. They manage to steal a very big container and he hears a thumping from within.

Bruce wakes up in the same penthouse, this time he is in the bed and Superman is waiting in the room and asks him once more for his help in banning together and beating this team of villains. He agrees and as Luthor announces that he will unleash doom upon the world they converge back in the same place the first battle happened, and a fight between the two teams end with the Justice League being victorious and Luthor stands next to the crate and says, that this was what he was after and opens it revealing, Doomsday, a genetic experiment designed to be a more advanced Superman and attacks easily dispatching of Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern. Batman and Superman make a futile attack on it, til Batman realizes that Doomsday must have the same weaknesses of kryptonite and when Batman takes the kryptonite brass knuckles from Riddler he manages to gain an upper hand until Superman manages to trap him within a giant rock and melt it around him so he couldn’t move. The League then rounds up the villains remarking that Luthor escaped but he would be back and they would be ready.

The next scene shows Superman, and Batman talking in what appears to be an office, with Bruce going through some files talking about how they are not the only ones out there that have these gifts and they can’t allow things like the Injustice Gang to happen again as he throws down files that you can see say “Green Arrow”, “Black Canary”, “Zantanna”, & “Cyborg”. Superman agrees and walks out as he thanks Bruce for donating one of his facilities and as he walks out camera pans behind him and they gaze out a window to show that they have made a base in the Watchtower, a Wayne Enterprises satellite as it hovers around the world.

After the credits, a battle worn Luthor returns to a secret base and receives a message from a Dr. Milton Fine and wants to discuss what he has been doing and says that he would like to help.

Okay, this is the info. I could get on Martian Manhunter and GL:

Martian Manhunter- there were prosthetics being built for him. Classic look- all green, with red leather braces across the chest. And a cape.

Green Lantern- mostly black with very dark green detail. Logo on chest. They were trying different styles for the ring.

That's all I got.

Hrmm. Maybe what could have been, baring a few rethinks on the Superman and Wonder Woman costumes, couldn't have been all bad. Oh, and a rewrite or two on the script.

I just didn't like that they were casting so young for that movie. It was a little WTF? inducing.

I think the cast was a major part of the feeling that something wasn't quite right with doing that project at that point in time (besides the other stuff like Nolan, the strike etc.)

Sigh. And you'd think they couldn't go on with the Avengers without Norton as Hulk, but despite some short lived ALL CAPS OUTRAGE... everyone pretty much seems to have moved the heck on.

There are ways to get Justice League without those guys, but I think it's a worthless discussion without a JL film anywhere NEAR the table.

I'm suprised they went with the classic Martian Manhunter look instead of going for the look in Crisis on Two Earths. I thought he would be more covered considering the guy they got to play him was a heavier set man. It sounds like Green Lantern would of looked more or less the same as he did on the Justice League Animated series. Also did Superman still have the read boots or was it completely blue except for the cape and the red and yellow "S" on his chest?

^Superman was all blue, no red boots. There were small red details in the fabric of the costume.

Martian Manhunter was the actor in prosthetics and was going to be CGI when he fought and flew.

Nah.

Id rather they didn't go the animated route. It would impede any chances of a live action crossover JL film in the future.

Does anybody remember the "Justice Leagues" storyline from 2001 when Hector Hammond make the world forget the JLA ever existed and that the members made their own JLAs?
