It's amazing how both of those covers suggest an epic and impressive scale to the films which they are NEVER going to deliver.

 

I'm not saying that. It's just that they're obviously going for the Nolan style with those covers and the 60's movie is the furthest you could get from that. No idea about the serials, they could be amazing high action, high drama, thrill a minute films for all I know.

 

Yeh, but atleast trying to sell something on it's own merits would be nice.

In regards to the ongoing superhero brief debate...

While I was in ohio on break, these past few weeks I actually talked to a lot of my girl friends on this subject. The majority all said it depends on the guy. If there thin and quarky.. like being the "cute goofball" then yes superhero briefs can be attractive. They said briefs on overweight guys never looked good and that if you're not the "cute goof ball type" you come off a bit off, and appear as if you're applying your own fandom, something you'd like, to turn on you're girl, who may or may not have any or much interest in superheroes but just support you're geekdom. A few also said that they may act turned on at times (and this goes for anything) in order to stay in the moment and not turn off the guy. Was actually a very interesting talk. Talked to about 6 or 7 girls. One being a best friend who just got her masters in psychology.

So case closed in my book.

But in any case... what puts you in the mood... still gets you laid whether your girl is really turned on by them or not. And there's always the female fanboy who can be an acception.

And as for gay men, there's no argument about the fact we like it... I know several clubs that have a "hero" night where its just about nothing but that. And there's always halfnaked superheroes for halloween

Wait, wait, wait, a Comic Book Movie, which Kevin Smith and Bruce Campbell gracing the cover? WHY THE **** HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS?

 

It's not what you think it is Lunar, buddy. It's a mockumentary that about a hero from the 40's who is about to get a movie made. And a really big fan goes to SDCC to boycott the new look, etc.

They are just in it to talk about the fake hero in interviews. And Bruce wants the old school look of the costume when he's approached for the part.

Just got the Iron Man 2 6 inch Titanium Man at Wal-Mart. I didn't even know that this toy had gotten past the prototype stage yet, until I saw it there. Maybe the 6 inch Crimson Dynamo is waiting out there for me somewhere as well.

The joints are a bit loose and the green is kind of plain. He also doesn't have any sort of blaster port (gun barrel?) on the palm of his open hand, which I was a bit sad about, but I like him overall. I'll put up a picture tomorrow.
