So, yeah, Kurt should be a priest again. Good idea done really, really badly. And I personally don't see any conflict between his swashbuckling attitude and his being a priest. Maverick priests are awesome.

I like Beast's role. He's an X-Man but that doesn't necessarily mean he goes into battle all the time. Kurt could be present like that, and not fight if it got in the way of his faith. Or he could do the occasional recon mission or something.

Or he could just balance the two like Rahne and Kitty do. Having faith in a religion doesn't have to mean rolling over to accept the persecution of your race.

It was. I really didn't mind the change, although it was a little sudden. Six months really isn't enough to become a priest.

Totally. Imagine him holding weekly masses at the institute and stuff. Really, anything that individualizes the X-Men more and gives them unique purposes at the school or on the team are good things. Too often they feel like just a bunch of people who live together and kinda sorta teach something or other some of the time, but mostly just punch other people with different views to theirs.

The X-Men are a franchise that is so easy to make better by doing a bunch of small, character related things. Bring back Cecilia and have her work as the physician so that Beast can focus on research. Make Kurt a priest again. These things are not difficult and don't require that much change in the status quo.

Yeah. Give Beast, Warren, and Bobby their senses of humor back, too. Have a baseball game every now and then.

Word. Except for Angel. I don't think I've ever read him as being a jokester. He was always fairly serious. Not Scott serious, but serious.

Not a jokester, but he was competitive and he took himself a bit too seriously. Makes for a good straight man to Hank and Bobby.
