Don't hold your breath, over 10k pages and 60+ ppl againt him in the old Hulk thread and the guy still ignored page after page of scans shoved in his face. If Halo 3 somehow went to the PS3 he'd probably say it sucks despite being one of his favorite game franchise (and I'd agree as I think Halo is one of the most overrated franchises in gaming history, but that's another argument).

Well, I can still go back to the first Halo. There's something about the first that I love. But the 2nd and 3rd? Big stinking piles of poo.

Well in all fairness I haven't played the first, well not the entire game. My friend had an X-box and I played about 20 mins of it. However I did buy the second game (and hated it) for PC, and then played the third online with my friend who has a 360. So my experience is more with the second game mostly, and the third I played online a lot as my friends on it when I go over there a lot.

So I can't speak badly about the first as I haven't tried it enough to form an opinion. The second and third tho....some ppl talk about them like their the end all of gaming, like their they are more inovative than Mario has been. I just honestly don't see it, I wouldn't rate the second Halo in my top 10 favorite 1st person shooters (and that's being honest, no fanboy opinion, I just honestly hated the experience), let alone the best game ever.

I wasn't really bothered about the lack of games last year for the PS3
(I have a life), but this year is shaping up pretty good. Good enough in fact to maybe sink me back into hardcore gaming.

I thought one was pretty fun, 2 couldn't compare. Three was the only one I beat, but that one was all about online anyways, and in that respect it was awesome. And The Flood are in all the greatest parts of the game. When they show it reminds me of Doom 3, which is a great change of pace.

I love this statement. I'm a geek! (but only a bit of a geek :o)

I will say one thing, if you can afford to lay out £400+ on something you're barely going to use then you have far too much money, or a lack of understanding of it's value

I went 50/50 with my brother, who was bent on getting one instead of a 360. I also got away without buying any games for it for ages, :cwink: I just played his R6:Vegas, Fight Night and Motorstorm non stop. Now I have a bit more spare time, I bought the Orange Box and COD:4.

I am a crafty bugger. :indy:

No it's not, there's pretty much no game that is worth buying a console for. And you being a fanboy blinds you from seeing Resistance, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk, all considered great games by people who are objective.

Well if you consider a metacritic score of under 85 great, then well yea, those games you listed are "great". All of them with the exception of Resistance failed to reach over 85 at metacritic. I do think those are solid titles tho, well with the exception of Heavenly Sword, but saying great, might be a bit of a stretch.

Ok, my bad, I meant to put Uncharted and RaCF in there, and they fit your criteria as well. Then the top PS3 exclusicives are 86, 88, and 88, while the top 360 exclusives(Halo 3, GoW, ME, and Bioshock), are 94, 94, 91, and 96. So that would be 87 vs. 94, a spread of 7 which I don't think is too bad, plus Gears and Bioshock are on PC, and I know Halo 3 will follow suit, so I don't need a 360 for those. And we all know EA is greedy, so they'll probably order Bioware to port it so they can make some extra cash.

But I'm a lot more nuetral than DACMAN, I can actually see the promise in both systems. I'll get the 360 for all the games I mentioned, as well as Alan Wake, Gears 2, Fable 2, Condemned, and I'll get the PS3 for all the games I mentioned, plus Resistance 2, Infamous, Uncharted 2, HS 2(hopefully they mimic DMC3 in terms of length), GOW3, UT3, MGS4, FFXIII, FFXIII vs, and no matter which one I get there's Prototype, Fallout 3, DMC4, and countless other games to look forward to, so everyone wins, really.

Except for Wii fans, they get 1 great Mario game, 1 great Metroid Prime game, 1 great Zelda game, 1 great SSBB game, Raving Rabbids 1 and 2, and besides that they have jack. They can't count on ports or multiconsole games for anything, really. And they still don't get complained about for lack of games, even though the PS3 is hurting in the exclusives department it still has RS: Vegas, CoD4, GRAW2, GTAIV, and all the other great multisystem games that can't be ported down to the Wii. Hell, the Wii can't even handle SM3, which was mediocre on the 360/PS3, it's not even playable on the Wii, you're better off buying a Gamecube and the old SM2 game.

Not surprising to see CoD4 as the top title for both 360 and PS3 being that it is the best FPS on any console. I think Ive played that game the most out of the PS3 games Ive owned and whats been in my system for 75% of the time since I bought it in Dec

Who needs to do damage control?

I suppose you missed the part about XBOX 360s being in short supply since X-Mas?

They have been, btw. I've noticed XBOX 360s, Nintendo DS's, and of course Wiis, have all been in very short supply since Christmas (earlier for the DS and Wii) at my store.

I knew you would go there.

kind of interesting though that MS only reveals this right before the hardware numbers are released. I havent seen any 360 shortages in any store Ive been too. Theres usually a huge stack of them on the floor or behind customer service

Sure it's interesting timing, but like I said, I can't speak for anywhere else, but at the store that I work at we definitely have had a large shortage of 360s since X-Mas along with GBAs, DS's, and Wiis.

We're currently sold out of all models of the 360, GBAs, DSs, and the Wii. On our last truck, which came yesterday, we got one 360 in and it was an Elite. It sold yesterday.

We haven't had any 80GB PS3s in for a while (discontinued) and we have probably about 25 or so 40GB PS3s in stock still.

I had to buy Gamestop's LAST Halo edition.. cause there was no pro's or elites ANYWHERE.. only arcade:csad:

You poor thing. You had to choose between the fugly Xbox 360 and the Xbox 3s**tty :(

CO4 the only game im playing and the reason why I havent bought Assasins creed or Mass effect:o

I'd say buy Mass Effect if you are into RPGs and rent Assassin's Creed and then decide from there whether to buy it as well.

Weird it wont let me subscribe to this anymore...
