That honestly makes alot of sense. Remember guys, Spiderman is to be in Civil War. The actor needs time to prepare for the role. No way he can if they are just narrowing down.
 
The shortlist is probably old but it probably will include the actor who was cast.
 
I think this news drops in less than two weeks. I don't see Marvel/Sony sitting onto the new until ComicCon. That's MONTHS away.
 
El Mayimbe retweeted Collider and followed that with an Instagram post about how they'll find out soon who the five guys are. So if El doesn't know, how can Talion know?

Talion had also capped off at 20 and now hes rolling with the early 20s shortlist so... and besides the dude who broke himself said he doesn't know!
 
Hopefully one of the 5 is Asa or at least someone I can root for.
 
How long was Jason Mamoa rumored for the role of Aquaman? I remember that being rumored for a long time before they officially cast him.

Very early 20s is still very vague. Not to mention very is often slapped on for emphasis when it doesn't really mean much. 20-23 can easily be seen as very early 20s, if it was 20 then he would have just said 20, 21 then 20 or 21, 20-22 is when I think it becomes a range vague enough to refer to vaguely. I would say early is 20-25 and very early, assuming very means even younger, is 20-23. Apparently (though I haven't looked it up) Dylan is going to be 23 for a few months still, so he obviously fits this range. Again, very early is just what he tweeted. If all he got were ages and not names, which is what he said, then for all we know he heard "some are in their young 20's" and translated it to very young. Obviously we can't over analyze it because it is just what he has 'heard'.

And hell, there's nothing wrong with that. The new faces of the Star Wars saga are Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. Daisy Ridley was only in some unknown short films and an episode of Casualty before this, and now she's going to be the main character of the biggest movie franchise of all-time. Boyega was only in a few small-budget films and wasn't very known either, but he's going to be a household name this time next year. At the end of the day, I think we should stay patient and put our confidence in who these movie studios cast. Look at Ben Affleck as Batman. Opinion on Batfleck has turned 180 degrees since the casting was first announced.

You can believe whatever age range you want around here. :) Just don't try to claim that you know for sure something unless you can show us the official Marvel statement. ;)
I do think an unknown is fine, just as long as it is someone who fits as well as Dylan. :)
 
Here's hoping that Dylan, Asa and Chalamet/Rowe made the shortlist

If Dylan is supposedly using a zimmer frame, then Toby and Andrew Garfield are both rolling in their graves to your speech!
