A lot of people seem to dislike this guy as Spidey and I agree with them.

Push the Peter Parker scenes back and push the Spider-Man scenes to the very end of the shoot. That would give the actor as much as 3 months in the gym.

And with his angry rant type humour, it just emphasises this, as if he's been bullied before, but now will take it out on others and get his own back now that he's above the rest.

Are you talking about that stage performance for YoungArts? If so, I feel like it should be said in fairness that it was not material that he wrote, and it was more him playing a part than necessarily a representation of his personal sense of humor.

All well and but I think a skinny Spider-Man would make a good contrast from what we've already seen. The physical aspects of the character don't bother me at all as long as he looks like Peter Parker.

Dylan has very lean muscle. He's not "big" by any means.

I don't know what the big deal is. Miles will turn up sooner rather than later and the impact of that appearance will lessened if Peter Parker is already white. Actually, Marvel probably leaked that picture so fanboys will be more accepting of the 5 actor shortlist.

Most of Spidey's villains are older, which is what the comics have played upon. Spidey's youth vs the villains' experience and age, with Spidey mocking them about various things.
