What do you mean "what question"? I posted the friggin' thing in the very post you quoted.

And was that bolded part your thought process with the shortlists for Cap, Thor, and Star-Lord? Actual question, again.

I didn't know NOTHING about these kind of things like I do now. But I do remember trusting on sources that were reliable back then, and not been an immature because a fan favorite of mine didn't get to make to the short lists and eventually getting picked. Also, let me break another fallacy that you keep repeating here. This talk about Chris Evan not been in the short list is pure non-sense. He was:

Also, regardless of what I say, you'll all keep believing whatever you want, so can we just move on to the part that you all buy whatever the new lie that the redditleakers of this world tell you again? We all have been here before, it's useless.

And was that bolded part your thought process with the shortlists for Cap, Thor, and Star-Lord? Actual question, again. I'm not saying one of those five actors in the *not* shortlist won't make it. I'm saying history has not exactly favored people listed on supposed shortlists.
Andrew Garfield was on the shortlist for TASM and he got the role.

But it's not the short list. It's not the short list that Marvel has. If it was, there wouldn't be other possibilities. The very definition of a short list is that it is a list from which the final selection will be made. You can't be all, "This is the short list," and then say that there are people who might get it who aren't on the short list--to get it they have to be on the short list.

Do I think Sneider put together a nice approximation of what the short list is? Yes. Is it the actual short list? No--he freely admits that. Is it shady of him to call it the short list? Yes. Does that discredit everything in that article? No.

Yes, it is. Feel free to write a thesis on why it isn't, but it is.

How am I included, though? I'm open to one of those guys/teenagers getting the role, Timothee and Asa are among my favorites and I don't dis every scooper that says Spider-Man will not be played by Dylan O'Brien..and I've even accepted the fact that it most likely isn't happening.

I don't drag these guys names through the mud and call them BS rumors... I'm moving on, but I'd still love for Dylan to play Spider-Man (preferable in College, but I think he could pull off a 16/17 year-old) and I've accepted that Marvel wants longevity.

He'll be able to play whatever Sony is cooking for Spider-Man in the animated film. Save your hopes for that.

I trust marvel they know whats best and have proven themselves time and time again
so whoever thet pick i'll probably warm up to him`
I still wish Andrew would have been given a shot once more and to be given the correct script cause I know with the right people he could have given a fantastic Peter Parker
*sighs* heres to Spidey

He was the perfect actor for the wrong time. The kid that is getting the role has big shoes to fill, but I trust that with the right guidance, who they cast will be able to become the definitive Spider-Man for this generation.

The title says John Krasinski taken off and Chris Evans put on. Which means there was a point in time where Evans was *not* on the shortlist. Things can change.

Explain to me why Marvel/Sony would put together a short list and then not pick anyone from it? Because what Sneider (and you) are suggesting is that that could happen because "These guys are totally on the short list but you know... there are other people who could get it."

Could the short list change? Oh yeah. You can see that with the Chris Evans link you just posted. Maybe that's what you're saying. I don't know.

(Random side-note: just had my last class of college today--no more theses for me! :cwink:)

Yes, things can change. Right now Wolff might be the favorite, but things could change from a week to the next. But Marvel's vision won't change to accommodate your ideal casting. Marvel is going with a younger actor and outside our SHH bubble, people are been very welcoming to the idea. Get used to that or don't it's your call, not mine, and like I said, this is useless. :yay:

Agreed on all accounts marvel always knows what they're doing
I hope they use Andrew one day for a marvel role

My original point was that I WANT Dylan to play Spider-Man, but I'm not going ignore all the signs that point otherwise.

I would love love LOVE that. I don't even know what he could play, but if I had my wish, I would want him to come back eventually in the Spider-Verse, a Spider-Man super saga. I don't even know if he'd be up to that, but who knows.

You know it takes one to know one when it comes to stubbornness. Why don't you just answer the question like I asked? And don't ask me what the question is. It's in the post you quoted.

Dude, I don't even know what question of your interrogatory you want me to answer, but I already gave you the answer you deserve. Not going this useless circle on this board ever again.

This is what I thought of after reading this.

Thank you. :woot:

Thank you for proving my point on stubbornness. Goodnight.

Yes, other actors could get in the mix. Da7e from LR has heard other names. I've heard other names, but ALL of them are among the age range that I've posted to you. These are the likely candidates.

Okay, explain it to me slowly. I've had a long day. Maybe I'm just not getting it.

How do you have a short list, like, an actual short list, but also have people who are "likely candidates" who are not on the short list? Wouldn't not being on the short list mean they are no longer candidates?

Edit: Wait. Are the likely candidates the short list not the other names? That would make more sense. Sorry.

Obviously, the short list is integrated by the more likely actors to get the role at the moment. And no, the others AREN'T the same age of O'Brien neither he is in contention for the role. Seriously though, ain't nobody got time for that. I'm done.

Ummm... thanks? I don't want him for the role anyway. So cool.
Have a nice night?
