I wouldn't be paying attention to this its pure bs
It's been confirmed many times its Peter Parker
Yeah, i know.
But hey, I got the arguing to stop. :p
As for the idea... it seems like most articles are saying Amy supports this idea, and it is a similar idea to a full female cast for ghostbusters which she wanted...
Obviously it wont happen... but do you think she is crazy enough to suggest it? XD

She can suggest it all she wants. That's not the deal Marvel & Feige signed on for.

Seriously what's up with that article? They print any kind of bs speculation...

Anyone else see this:

They can really get people to fall for stuff like that! XD Not to mention the fact that they made 2 fake scenes!
Also:
Paolo Paz as Spider-Man confirmed! :p

What's the point in arguing, not sure why a character has to look exactly like his age but oh well

What if they set him up so that the Spider-bite, in addition to enhancing his strength and giving him Spider abilities, starts causing him to look like a college-aged student as well, thus making him a target for bullies to call him strung out?

Butterbones better bulk up if he gets the role...

He'll stay like this just to annoy you guys. :hehe:

Asa Butterfield is supposedly the top contender. Via El-Mayimbe.

I can dig it. :hmr:

Honestly, I don't care who it is...

...it could really be woman like the bs previously posted... (semi serious)...

...I just want an announcement... :cmad:

Asa is one of the most talented young actors in the world right now. No one can argue with it if he is cast.

Very, very solid choice. If it's not Dylan, than it probably should be him.

He'd better get a comedy coach too.

They can get a trainer to help him possibly bulk up, but I don't know how he's going to suddenly get funny and become a motor mouth.

If he indeed booked the role, like Chavez suggested... Then an announcement might come on April 30th. That's when, according to production weekly, the new Spider-Man film will go into some sort of production.

Well if it's not Dylan I don't mind it being him.

But he is skinny. Needs to bulk up a bit.

I suppose it could be worse. It could've been Timothee Chalamet, who doesn't come across as very likeable or humble but has this condescending air about him as if he thinks he's superior to you. Asa at least has more likeability, but seems a bit stiff and, as he becomes more of an adult, seems a bit reminiscent of Tim Henman, who was also a bit stiff and dry (for a tennis player).

He certainly wouldn't be my pick. My hope is that he did show he can be funny, since that's what Feige specifically said they would like to explore.

I bet Asa sucks as Tennis as well.

Also the thing about him being frontrunner... I just can't believe they haven't cast an actor yet... But we'll see soon enough. I hope. Please. Marvel.

Posted this in the GD thread, but seems relevant here too:

I highly doubt they'd cast a great Peter Parker but a meh Spidey. This new PP/Spidey will be the PP/Spidey for a while, so the actor portraying him would have to be in the zone of "best of both worlds".
