El Mayimbe reported that Chadwick Boseman, Charlie Cox, Sophia Turner and Tye Sheridan were frontrunners before being cast in the role.

can assure you Dylan fits more than Asa...
they have made it CLEAR they don't want a door playing Spider-Man. And if the guy has the humor of a door...
Dylan is just a little too old, not a big deal. Eh can get a coach for it. :oldrazz:
But srsly...you said yourself he could play 17, PP is goingt o be "around 15-16" which means technically 17 is included. And there is no evidence for them to make a HS tril at this point, and it would be very hard for them to do so.
So if you could choose a perfect spider-man/pp who is a year too old age look
or you could choose a perfect pp but horrible SM who is the right age look (ora bit young)
Who would you choose?
the answer should be obvious BTdubs. :p
If Asa gets the role, then that means he displayed all the traits necessary to play PP/Spider-Man.

He's also a better actor than Dylan and could play a better Peter Parker than him, but Dylan could probably play a better Spider-Man than Asa and he's he's also five years younger than Dylan, so he could play Spider-Man for five more years before aging out of the role.

Asa could do six movies, Dylan could only do four.

I hope it's not Asa. He's the only actor that I legitimately have a problem with playing Spider-Man.

If and when Marvel announces and it is indeed him I can get behind it if its true not my first choice but I can play ball

That first argument is the worst logic. I think everyone can see it. I pointed it out a lot to Airwings. If Justin Beiber got the role then he would have been the best for the role. :p It mean nothing, and should not affect your decision.

Second, Asa being a better actor is your opinion. He could play a PP as good as Dylan, but I think as DR has said, it would be good if pp still had some humor.

Who know show old Spidey will get in the MCU? Either way spidey wont outgrow the role any faster than any other heroes.
SO I don't know where the whole 6 vs 4 movies came from, but that is inaccurate.

It's actually common sense, lol.

Kevin Feige has repeatedly stated that the quips and mockery of Spider-Man are crucial, so naturally they're looking for someone who can pull off the Spidey side of things as well as the Peter side of things also.

For the 838238972389th time, why in the right mind would they look to cast someone who would be a good Peter but a medicore-to-awful Spider-Man? The Spider-Man we get will be around for a while, so it's important to have both elements in tact and correct.

If Asa does indeed get chosen, that must mean he is capable of performing the dual personality of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, otherwise why get him?

Guys!!! remember when El Mayimbe said Chadwick was the frontrunner for BP? and he ended up booking the role? I'm getting flashbacks!

He also reported that Charlie was the frontrunner for Daredevil!

And the Jean/Scott actors were frontrunners for X-Men Apocalypse!

He also reported WB/DC's interest in Ben Affleck over a year before he was cast.

What I mean to say is that that is being useds a reason to say: "Well if he was cast hem must have been able to do humor, therefore I think he would be great for PP/SM!" THAT is illogical. The statement that he must have had humor if he was cast is common sense.

Got'cha.

Asa might not be the best choice for the role, but he's definitely one of the worst :woot:

Does his new twitter name count as evidence that he's got humour? :D
