Asa definitely seems more British than Garfield did. I hope he can completely eliminate any Britishness, not just in his accent but his overall mannerisms. But his look is quite British too.

So I've been reading Ultimate Spider-Man for the first time, and I'm not going to lie: I'm reading PP/SM and hearing Dylan O'Brien's voice. It's working for me. I guess if I had to I'd settle for him just doing the voice someday.

Guys!!! remember when El Mayimbe said Chadwick was the frontrunner for BP? and he ended up booking the role? I'm getting flashbacks!
 
He also reported that Charlie was the frontrunner for Daredevil!

And the Jean/Scott actors were frontrunners for X-Men Apocalypse!

Exactly! That's why I don't see Asa getting the role. It not only isn't natural, but if they don't specifically tell him to be funny, he wont be, and he wont make it in. I also don't see anyone but Dylan getting the role... it seems no one else is funny like Dylan is. He's better than Andrew even! I just don't see anyone on Sneiders list, nor the list of many actors we have mentioned, being near funny enough for spidey. The only other one who comes close is Teo, and even he isn't a fast quipper.

Just like when he reported previous actors were frontrunner and they ALL ended up booking their respective roles? :whatever:

This is exactly why I let Dylan go. regardless of how much fans want him, he just doesn't fit into Marvel & Sony's plan for a younger Spider-Man, he's too old and looks nothing like 15 year-old.

Bring on Asa!!

Well what else were you expecting? I'm not going to jump for joy and I'm not going to be heart broken either. Asa isn't my top choice at all, but he's far from the worst choice for me. We could've gotten Spider-Woman, as suddenly rumoured, with Isaac Hempstead-Wright. :o

Or we could've gotten Chalamet from that list, who has the most smug look of the lot.

You misunderstood what I meant by that though, as it was a point in favor of Asa.

They wouldn't cast an actor if they didn't think he was right for the role of both Peter and Spidey.

So if Asa does in fact get cast, there's a pretty good reason as to why..

Hopefully you warm up to him, he's an Amazing young actor (Pun intended) and he's going to own this role!

can assure you Dylan fits more than Asa...
they have made it CLEAR they don't want a door playing Spider-Man. And if the guy has the humor of a door...
Dylan is just a little too old, not a big deal. Eh can get a coach for it. :oldrazz:
But srsly...you said yourself he could play 17, PP is goingt o be "around 15-16" which means technically 17 is included. And there is no evidence for them to make a HS tril at this point, and it would be very hard for them to do so.
So if you could choose a perfect spider-man/pp who is a year too old age look
or you could choose a perfect pp but horrible SM who is the right age look (ora bit young)
Who would you choose?
the answer should be obvious BTdubs. :p
 
Asa looks alot older in that pic. He looks like the perfect ballance between a teenager and a young adult.
