Difference been that's Spider-Man, not Dr. Strange. The actor getting it will either take it or leave it.

It's like that for everything. I only said Doctor Strange as an example. Even Steve Weintraub from Collider stated that it takes a hell of a long time to work out a contract between actors and studios.

Besides, all the actors in the shortlist and their staff must already know about the terms of the contract. At least the main contenders. It's not about the actors accepting it, but Marvel and Sony picking it.

Read the post above.

Doesn't work like that, but whatever...

It's supply and demand economics basics here. Marvel is picking, the actors want it, and know the terms. It's not Marvel and Sony that are pursuing the role, they are offering, and these actors are the contenders. Whoever is picked probably already know the terms and probably has even already agreed on, they are just waiting Marvel's call.

It was JUST like that with Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and many other casting choices.

Kevin Feige wants the X-Men back!!!

He's going after the wrong property. Fantastic Four should be the one they should get back. X-Men can exist in a universe of its own. FF would bring Doom, Galactus and Silver Surfer, and all of the interactions between Spider-Man and Human Torch.

This.

Hoping the new movie flops so that Fox will make the deal.

I want Fantastic four back first and then we can start thinking about the x-men :)

Tom is also a huge skateboad enthusiast and frequently posts pics of himself doing stunts on his skateboard. If it has to be someone this young then Tom is the one for me.Seems he has the right gymnastic ability for Spider-Man too.

I wouldn't be holding my breath on that one, people.

Something we can agree on. Fox's X-men series is way top popular at this point that they would feel the need to make any deals

Lending the characters ala Sony-Marvel Spidey deal wouldn't work anyway since the continuities just wouldn't mesh, and Fox aint rebooting any time soon

If Andrew Garfield was still Spider-Man in the MCU and the same cast as the new reboot would have also joined the MCU, then Garfield could've got the gay affair he so wanted with Michael B. Jordan :funny:

I thought you wanted the FFINO movie to succeed before.

If Marvel ever did get FF back, they would have to cast a Johnny Storm around the same age as Peter Parker. There's no way someone like MBJ looks like a teenager.

I already told you that went back and read the original source material and Fant4stic clearly has no respect for it.

I want to see Peter interacting with Johnny for Christ sakes.

Awesome seeing everyone jumping on the Tom Holland train

I still want Dylan and will support him untill an official announcement is made, however if it HAS to be either Tom or Asa I'll choose Tom with my eyes close*.

Asa is just wrong for Spidey in so many ways.

*That being said they are both underwhelming and disappointing choices for Spidey.

If there's one thing you can count on Harryoscop to do that's to flip flop. I'm starting to think he isn't even human but in fact a flounder.

Ok, what kind of hair should Peter Parker have? Classic hair like in the comics? Or a bouffant hairdo like Garfield? Or maybe slightly longer like the 90s animated Peter and the Nicholas Hammond version?
