Well, Asa was my choice for the role so hopefully this pans out.

Nah. More like the self-appointed class clown that no one thinks is funny.

I honestly don't get the support behind him, I only saw him in the Maze Runner and there wasn't one scene in the movie where I thought, man this guy's a good actor. Both Butterfield and Holland on the other hand have proven their selves in films like Hugo and the Impossible that not only can they act but at a younger age than O'Brien at that.

He is shockingly good on Teen Wolf. Especially since that was really his first real professional role.

I don't want him as Spider-Man, but not because I think he's a poor actor. Actually, I'm glad it's not him because it will let him take some other roles. He get's to play an adult in Deepwater Horizon. An adult! I'm pumped for that.

Plus, I like his arms. His arms are nice.

Dylan looks nothing like a Harry Dane look exactly like Harry that was the spitting image if he had red hair oh yeah big time sorry no one even remotely looks like that

He must be very good in the show then. And I don't think he's a bad actor, judging from the movie only, he's no Taylor Lautner, I'll give him that. But seeing all the supporters on Hype, I just couldn't understand what people saw in him that got so many people rallied up behind him.

And glad you like his arms .

In fact, how amazing he is on Teen Wolf compared to his performance in The Maze Runner shows that he really is a great actor and has an amazing range.

I still think he'd make the best Peter Parker and Spider-Man. They should be choosing the best person for the job in my opinion and choose the best believable age range for him and tailor the movies around that.

I believe in Marvel, if anything they have been consistently good with their casting.

That's my thoughts as well. Bump up Pete to a junior (like in Spectacular Spider-man) and cast O'Brien.

Again, I think it is important the guy cast has the charisma to pull off the good-natured motor mouth who can go toe to toe with Robert Downey Jr,

imo they should just put him in college.

I think Asa LOOKS like a young Parker. I've still yet to see either Ender's Game or Hugo to judge his acting

I agree. Aside from the blue eyes, Asa looks more like Peter Parker than Maguire or Garfield ever did.

O'Brien would have been a decent choice as well.

Well for some nasty reason, I keep thinking of the recent Spidey toons with Phil Coulson as the principle. lol GODS I hope not. I know Sony was wanting to go a different direction but please no

It could be because I grew up with the 90's Spider-Man series but I always preferred a spider-man at least in university or out of school.

I've just been waiting to get to the Spider-Man part. So I was disappointed the Webb reboot went back to HS and I can't say I'm excited about the (re-reboot?) going back there too.

I just have a hard time seeing someone like Asa being taken seriously among the Avengers for example.

This is the part where I disagree with you on the Garfield part because he did resemble Peter Parker

I mean, Asa can probably pull it of acting wise... but the fact he looks like a 12 year old annoys the hell out of me. I seriously can not picture this guy in the suit, at all. I really hope Marvel and Sony get someone else.
