Once this Spider-Man is established and loved it would be really cool to make a movie that lasts about an hour and a half, fade down to credits and instead of doing an after credits clip you show, 'The Boy who collects Spider-Man comics' which is one of the most heartbreaking Spider-Man stories ever. THAT is how breathe new life into the origin. But it can't happen for at least two movies.
No thanks.

It's a great story, not sure I'd want to see it in the films though. Would work as a one-shot.

Would be perfect for a TV series. A little too long for a movie. Outside of AF #15 that is 'the' best telling of Spider-Man's origin. The story is in my top 5 Spider-Man stories of all time.

Hey is the story the kid who collects spidey the character who becomes steel spider or am I mixing characters up.

It's the story where Spider-Man fights Thunderball is the main story but the side story is where Spider-Man visits a kid (seemingly at his house) and inexplicable he tells the boy his life story and even his secret identity. Before Spider-Man swings away after saying goodbye to the kid he starts crying. The closing panel show the kid is staying at the home of the terminally ill. I feel like tearing up just typing it.

Ah thanks I thought I had them mixed up. If I recall that was the basis of the 90s toon episode with the little girl.

Just gonna leave this here:

Asa's most recent american accent. Also, holy **** he's tall.

Not bad at all.

The accent definitely seems more natural now than the one he used in Ender's Game. I also recall reading something about how Asa's been practicing more with his American accent lately, so I'd wager his voice would be pretty much perfect by the time we see him on-screen in Civil War or the solo film. The only concern would be if he can pull off the comedy or lighter moments of Peter, but I doubt Marvel would cast him if he couldn't do it.

Thst is my main concern with him too. Be sides my nitpick concern on his appearance.

One thing that I actually really like about Asa's voice in that trailer: It's deep enough where you could believe that his Peter is able to fool the general public and potential enemies into thinking that Spider-Man is an actual adult and not a fifteen year kid in high school.

True. and that's actually the first time I've heard Asa actually grunt, lol.

Indeed. I also liked that little bit at the end of the trailer when he reacts to Hawke's line about meeting his mom at an orgy! That was pretty funny.

Good point. I never thought of that.

Now Asa just needs to hit the "All You Can Eat" buffet over at the Tabinyaki grill and we'll be good to go.:cwink:

I kind of want Hailee Steinfeld as MJ now after seeing that lol. She's certainly a great actress, but my concern was her looks. She always looks better on screen though, and it was the same with that trailer. Would be very natural in the role too I suppose.

If you want him to be fat, I suggest pizza and a lot of hamburgers

My biggest fear is that they're going to cast her for the role if Asa ends up getting it.

Yep, did you see how Asa pushed that guy (don't know his name) "GET OFF HER!" I can't be the only one who was instantly reminded Symbiote Peter Parker!

Why don't you want her?

It'd probably be a bit hard for Asa to put on more muscle/weight, but I think it's certainly possible for him to do so. It's not like he'd need to be in the same sort of body shape that Chris Evans has for Captain America.

I haven't seen her in much, but I do know that this is the second film she's been in and ended up co-starring with Asa. She'd be alright, I guess, but I'm still leaning more towards Madison Davenport or Chloe Moretz.

I'm impressed.

3/3 for me in terms of her. Already liked her look and what-not, I just didn't really know how she'd fair acting-wise but I'm sold.
