I'd still rather see an American play Spider-Man. I know it's called acting for a reason, but still. Just feels wrong. Like how it would feel if an American tried to play James Bond.

I'm British and if they hired an American to play Bond and his accent was flawless, he gave a brilliant performance and looked the part then I wouldn't give a ****

As long as it is a good actor,I don't care where he comes from.

I'm honestly more excited to see the costume than to find out the actor.

Feige will get his man. Of that I have no concern.

I just want some official news instead of a rumor every 5 minutes.

What has El Mayimbe said about Spidey lately?

And Tom has plenty of charisma and most DEFINITELY would not suffer in humor department. hell, he was cracking jokes on the set of Impossible.
Doesn't mean he will be great as the quipping Spidey.
I crack jokes all the bloody time but if I was cast as the webslinger, the dramatic elements would be my strenght as an actor.

Being naturally funny or wise-crack on cue (from a director or a script), it's two very different things.

Airwings actually isn't wrong on that one. Take it from someone who's actually trying to make movies right now in college. Having a natural sense of comedy off-screen does help, but it's by no means the final deciding factor.

Correct. When the jokes are in the script and/or rehearsed, it just isn't the same thing.

However, I do feel I have a sense for comedic timing if I come up with a joke/funny story and then tell it one minute later.

Yeah, being funny on cue can be hard. Cracking jokes is completely different. Whoever plays Spidey needs a quick wit, and to be able to crack jokes about the environment he's in effortlessly. Acting fro comedy can be a lot more difficult than for a dramatic piece.

I said it before I rather have someone who can do funny great ie Carrey or Williams l. And can do dramatic when needed. As many pointed out. It's far easier for funny guys to do dramatic then dramatic guys doing funny.

Besides my concerns on asa looks. It's a big unknown factor if he can do humor side and have it be more natural and not forced or wooden.

I don't want a good peter but a dull spidey again. And that is why I feel tom is better. He has my energy is more lively fellow. Has thst singing dance gymnastics background. Comes from comedian father. And just seems more up beat the asa. Ans would likely pull a more natural preformance.

yes!

I'm starting to like Asa more and more. He just needs to hit the gym and be less reserved.

Chalamet looks so extremely unlikeable to me. He looks mean and mischievous. Not even close to how I picture Peter Parker.

This. He just gives off this superior, condescending attitude as if he looks down on others less worthy and thinks he's too cool and intellectual for others. I wouldn't be surprised that Flash and others pick on him, not because he's a nerd per se, but because it seems like he would be someone who likes to shove his enlightened state in their faces and doesn't tolerate any other opinion.

Even his so-called humour is rather condescending and ranting angrily. He doesn't come across as very humble at all. His face just gives off this haughty air. Ugh.

I fear if the announcement doesn't come by June 1st then this place will just become flame central.

Hey for all we know maybe something could drop tonight at midnight. Or tomorrow afternoon. I really hope. Have day off tomorrow and can be online far more then if I had work.

My sauces tell me the announcent will come with a side serving of bacon, in which case, brown is the best suggested...

Damn it, schizophrenia :(
