LR also said Planet Hulk and the Amazing Aunt May movies were gonna be a thing so..

How do you know?

Because of
Chris Evans
Chris Hemsworth
Evangeline Lilly
Paul Rudd
Josh Brolin
Samuel L. Jackson
Scarlett Johansson
Chadwick Bosman
Paul Bettany
Elizabeth Olsen

All of those names were at least mentioned on this site.

So it's going to be someone mentioned on this forum.

For the love of God, can't they just friggin cast somebody already?!!!

The other pics are from like 2009/2010.

He's a terrible choice imo and already 25 (too old).
1. Does he look like a stoner in the newest pic I've posted?

2. Why is he a terrible choice for Spider-Man other than being too old?
Too serious and not funny?
Too short?
A bad actor?
Too unknown?
Has he always been weird-looking?

Yeah ^ I didn't understand that post... thought you wanted Isaac, Charlie etc. too.

I wouldn't mind 'em at all, but you're now claiming getting a young actor to be Spider-Man is terrible because you've reverted back to the "O'Brien or bust" mindset.

All those actors were rumored and put out by scoop sites and trades for the roles before the names were mentioned on the hype, not put forward by fans on the hype and then chosen by Marvel based on picks put forward by fans.

Same goes for O'Brien and Lerman as well, though, if the recent reports are true , they're out due to age. The most recent actor who's name has been throw out was also brought up by trades ,not the fans, and even then he's only auditioned.

There are far more possibilities for actors to who can play the part and then the ones mentioned here, and the thread hasn't even come close to putting them all up. Now who knows, O'Brien may end up getting the role and the "auditioning" of younger actors is kinda a smoke screen or just misinformation put out to divert attention away from O'Brien's casting. Something similar to that happened when Chris O'Donnell got the part of Robin back in the day.

Not saying that its not possible that a name thrown out here will get the role, what i'm saying is that its most likely an actor fans aren't cued into. That actor could be more well known but fans just haven't considered them, the actor may not fit the image of Peter Parker so fans haven't considered them, or the actor isn't as well known so the fans don't even know they exist .

Do you guys think they will go to an American, a British or another nationality?

No my friend.. lol.
I meant 1 movie per year is a terrible idea

I think they're probably looking all over , which is why I hesitant on saying that the next Spiderman actor is among the choices put forward by the hype. He could be an Aussie, a Scot, Welsh, American, Canadian , or any number of options really.

Dylan's not a bad choice, but he just doesn't look like someone who could be a nerd/loser/outcast. He just looks too cool or somethin idk, it's hard to put my finger on it.

The great thing about PP/SM was that it was this dorky, socially awkward kid who ends up being a cocky, cool smartass when he puts on the costume (something you could never picture this kid doing without his mask). It's as if his grasp can now exceed his normal/typical reach; becomes someone/something he could never possibly be in real life (without the costume)... He wasn't an already regular/cool-type kid - who could very believably step into the persona of Spider-Man - just being himself when he has the costume on.

And obviously (if Dylan were cast) they're not going to make his PP a cool kid right outa the gate, and I'm sure would establish him as some form of an outcast, but as I said, there's just something 'intangible' about him that I think would make it difficult for me to believe he's that big of a dork/outcast, and really showcase that PP/SM juxtaposition. Just one guy's opinion of course, but that's why I can't get 100% on board with Dylan

I totally see where you're coming from. Alot of people had the same feeling about Garfield. I like how you stayed calm about it too unlike other people who just said
"No Dylan! Too Old! Want Teen Spider-Man! If Dylan get casted I boycott Marvel cause I want Andrew/Tobey back!".

Yeah I mean I'll never jump the gun and dismiss anyone for any role, I've been proved wrong and surprised/blown away way too many times to swear things off before I see final products. So I'm definitely not saying I think/know for sure Dylan wouldn't be a good choice, or do a good job, or be able to pull off the PP/Spidey dynamic I love so much, but I just wanted to express my opinion (which to my surprise seemingly hasn't really been brought up by anyone in this vein). It's not like I don't like him or have any strong aversion against casting him, but I was a bit surprised to see how gung ho almost everyone seems to be for him. Just a little surprised :cwink:

It is pretty surprising how much Dylan hype there is.

That rumor came in the same package as the teenage actor though.
From Hitfix.
So if it were indeed true, then we'd still be getting teen actor..
It sounds like a terrible idea to me.

Yearly films?!

NO WAY that's true. There's just no way. They couldn't even if they wanted to.

Another reason not to trust everything that comes from Hitfix.

And the Captain Marvel in Avengers 2 rumor from Latino Review also got debunked so... Same with them.

Is the rumor that there will be yearly Spider-Man films or that Spider-Man with appear in a film each year? If it's the former its not true if it's the later it's probably true.

No, I think it includes Marvel movies.

Civil War
Spider-Man 1
Infinity War
Spider-Man 2
Infinity War 2

something like that.

well we have him in:

Civil War - 2016 (size of role remains to be seen, but he'll be there)
Spidey Solo - 2017
Infinity War Part 1 - 2018
Infinity War Part 2 - 2019
Spidey Sequel - 2019

so we get to see him once a year and twice in 2019, thats pretty awesome.

If it is the latter and includes other MCU films as Chipperson suggested, I can see that.
