One thing for sure is it isn't going to be Asa. Why? Because no actor I have ever wanted ahead of time has been cast. Not ONCE. So all the Asa haters, rest easy, it isn't going to happen.

So if I wanted Scott Glen as stick and Vincent as Kingpin in the past all my dreams will come true?!:gngl::ilv:

I still can't see Max Records as Harry Osborn.
That's because he's not cast yet. But you will see him as Harry when he plays the role.
If you don't see him, it's because you've closed your eyes.

He's just another one of your random teenage male choices though.
What convinced you that this kid would be a good Harry? is it his looks? or his acting? or even his personality?

You even said it yourself that whoever doesn't play Peter should play Harry because "a young actor will be without a role".

It's because of his talents :)
And it isn't more random than you changing shortlists very so often

I'm hoping whomever they choose can not only be a timid and shy parker and a quipping Spidey but a brilliant mind as well. Need to have someone who can portray not just a shy nerd, not just an overconfident superhero, but a genius as well.

That's one of Parkers most iconic traits and what allows him to keep his identity underwraps fo so long. Because he's smart.

Again, just because an actor is a good actor doesn't mean they're right for a certain role.

And I've actually done research on my picks for Spider-Man to determine if they're right for the role.

My logic- looks like Peter Parker + Can play the nerd + Is good with Drama + Is funny and could nail the comedic scenes with Spidey = Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

Your logic- Good actor + Looks good in spandex + Is a male + Is young = Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

I think Airwings logic is the same that I have, and I don't think it's what you're describing, Harry.

What is your logic then, Talion?
Last I checked you came to the conclusion that Chalamet would be a good pick because of my logic In my previous post.
You took EVERYTHING into account when picking him.

My logic is the actor that give Marvel the best audition. If that's Asa, I hope it's him. If it's Chalamet, I hope it's him. If it's anyone else, I'll support it. Quite simple.

That's some pretty reasonable logic. Let's hope that actor is Dylan O'Brien. XD

How to judge the audition for one actor?

If it's between

A) talented in drama, looks like Peter, unproven comedic timing (can do some jokes but will have to learn before he masters it perfect)

and

B) talented in comedy and he's a funny guy, doesn't look much like Peter, also good with drama.

Who would be best for the role?

I'd choose A) because they can always get him a comedic coach to help him with the Spider-Man scenes.

The best would be
C) the one who can do it all

Tough question, and one I believe that the casting for Spidey should be doing themselves. I can see Peter Parker and Spider-Man in Tim Chalamet. I can see Peter Parker in Asa Butterfield. But I feel like Marvel would know what's best once they audition enough actors for the part.

You sure about that? That hasn't been your rationale before. Or am I confusing you with someone else who said that?

Ffs.Hopefully this one comes true:woot:

Yeah, I know what you're going to try to say.. Lerman.
But that was a rhetorical question, I'd rather have C) someone who looks like Peter Parker and can pull off the Spider-Man scenes, without a comedic coach.

That's true. It's highly unlikely that it would come down to those two scenarios.

Another one.

Would you prefer:

A) A 23-year-old who looks the part and acts the part extremely well?

B) A 15-17-year-old who *sorta* looks the part and acts the part even less than he looks?
