Yeah Peter's the nice guy that gets the girl, it makes sense if he isn't really attractive in fact it's kind of the point, I will always think the Honest Trailer for TASM summed up Garfields Peter well with that bit about Peter Parker being 'an attractive, intelligent, likeable, athletic, well dressed teenage loser'

I found Garfield's Peter to be slightly reminiscent of the SSM version. I see what you're saying though.

It's horrible.
No, I haven't seen him for over 2 years. The last I heard of him was from my other friend, who said he was walking past him one day with two girls on him (not his girlfriend and he was with her) and he made a snide remark to my friend and they got in a fight.
He used to look at for me at school because I never fought back if somebody started (which was rare).
But he changed and wasn't the same.

I think Martella falls into that category alongside Garfield and even Maguire.

I don't think they're going to cast someone unattractive as Peter Parker. Maybe someone less conventionally good looking than Garfield, but not funny looking either.

How attractive the actor is doesn't really fizz me. They can make an attractive actor look ugly with some acne, glasses and a bad haircut. As long as the quality is there, and the actor is under 6 feet tall.

Highmore if I'm only picking between those three. He looks perfect, though I need to see more movies he's been in. Hutcherson doesn't strike me as a good choice, and Sangster looks way too young.

Haha I get you, when I was kid I thought how cool it would be to be Spiderman, then I realised all the buildings are two floors, and I'd have to run around the streets and it would look super lame.

When green screen action was going down, he had this over the top sense of excitement/danger to him. I find that crucially negative since he'll be doing a lot of green screen work as Spidey. I just flat out don't think he's a great actor. Good enough for the PJ series I guess, although I find that series pretty lame. I want raw talent in our new Peter.
