I thought the newest suggested plan would be Civil War cameo, Sony produced solo before Infinity War, ensemble part in Infinity War, second solo after that.

Yeah, I wasn't sure when they meant the first solo would be, that didn't seem clear.

If the first solo is in like 2017 or 18, then I guess those guys could still work.

I think the first solo should be 2017. That's a year after Civil War, when they might have first teased Spidey as part of the MCU. It's also 3 years after ASM2.

But I don't think Spidey's solo should be a pure solo anyway but a team up movie with Daredevil. I don't want Spidey to go back to being as unconnected to everything in between ensemble films as he was with Sony.

Well,a lot of kids look beyond their years nowadays.

And I would put Logan down as a teen if I didn't know better.

Someone suggested Zac Efron, and I thought it could be alright. I suggested Brenton Thwaites, which was briefly discussed. I think it's because of the reports that Lerman is the heavily favored pick, which leads us to discuss him the most.

I would be very happy if he got the role. The thing is, though, I want talented actors (who sometimes even look the part) to have a chance, not only because they're "hot" at the moment.
That is why I mention Liam Aiken, Frank Dillane and Rollo Weeks.

Now as far as Lerman goes, would it be weird if his Peter Parker has a poster of Percy Jackson on his wall? Maybe he's a fan of the actor.

Never seen Teen Wolf but from what I have heard he's the comic relief on the show. Maze Runner was actually pretty good, but he was much more dour in it than how I imagine Spider-Man. Its much different than usual YA fare. Not much exposition, zero sexual or romantic tension, the action and thrills start right off the bat. Its a real genre movie rather than a teen soap with genre trappings.

regardless of some reactions towards, I think Lerman would be a far more popular Peter Parker than Andrew Garfield (and I really like Andrew Garfield). Even if his Peter Parker was on the exact level of Andrew Garfield, GA would still love him way more just for the fact that they fired Andrew
