Jason Todd was a lost opportunity IMO.
the story in this annual should have been the first story out of OYL... now we know why dick is all "i need to find myself, waaaaaa! waaaaa!"
would have made much more sense...
apparently in bruce jones's world it is acceptable... and come on... sleeping with super-skanks is never a bad thing when youre trying to get over a girl lol
"I don't know wha you did to me last night, but I can't feel my legs now."
classic
and Robin hiding his Boy Wonder with his cape was hilarious too
Same here. I just haven't been interested in Nightwing. Between his ******ed behavior during Jones' run and his apparent condonation of lethal force as leader of the Outsiders, he's just not the Dick I'd enjoy reading about anymore. This annual emphasized that. Dick lived up to his name in this annual, sleeping with Babs while engaged to Kory, leaving Babs to go on a spiritual quest with Bruce, only to leave Bruce and come back to Gotham after a short while, coming back to "find himself" by sleeping around and being a jerk, etc. Babs was a bit pushy herself in the ending of the annual, too. Just a sad, sad end to something that could've been a great development in the lives of both characters.I kind of enjoyed the annual, but I also don't like the development of Dick having cheated with Babs on Kory before their wedding. That was just lame. I did like the flashback with Mad Quilt because of the teenage embarassment and when Babs met Kory.
I dropped Nightwing some while ago. Even though Wolfman's writing made the character worthwhile again, the title just didn't grab me as it used to. I'm pretty sure I even dropped it after two/three issues. I just kinda forgot about it.
Heh, I almost wish I were still reading Nightwing so I could see that. Almost.![]()
