It's the Conjuring Universe and WB knows how to handle it. I think this one might actually beat the existing OW record (40m) for this universe.

I'm skeptical of WB with their main continuity DC movies which includes Aquaman

But they have been remarkably consistent as far as the Conjuring Universe goes. So have faith. I think this one will do very well just like the previous 4.

Well it should, the script is great and Bichir and Farmiga are both so talented.

Also I'm so happy this opens here the same day as in USA, recently we had to wait for everything, I didn't even go see new Ant-Man because of the delay

Even better then. The audience has responded to quality when it comes to this franchise. The supposed weak link (Annabelle) is the lowest grosser among the 4.

I also think this one will get more traction in the Catholic pre-dominant countries (most of Europe where the numbers for the Conjuring Universe has been traditionally very strong and has room for growth) than the previous ones. That'll help the BO receipts.

I just hope the tie-in to another movie in the franchise stayed, the one that's in the script is even better than the one in Annabelle 2 and I remember people really liked that and were impressed by how cleverly the writers pulled it off

I'm super excited for this film! Interesting how the Conjuring set up a nice little horror cinematic universe where Universal failed (twice) trying to make bigger budget action films.

In the world of horror movies, this is actually the best possible press. As we told you just yesterday, a YouTube ad for Corin Hardy’s The Nun got a lot of people talking this week, mostly because it scared the crap out of them. It was one of those “this is playing before the video you’re watching and you can’t skip it” type of ads, punctuated by a loud jump scare featuring the film’s terrifying title character. Apparently, it was just *too* scary.
