Yeah....yeah.....yeah.......that's what I say when a student gets sarcastic on me.....

If you honestly believe Wright is a dead issue, you are either naive or a fool. Wait for the 527s to start playing Reverend Wright ads on a daily basis. Obama to this day has still not adequately answered why he would go to a church for 20 years that is run by a man with whom he so fundamentally disagrees or appoint such a man to his campaign. He will have to answer these questions or he will plummet in the polls when commercials are run on a daily basis with a picture of Obama and Wright standing together followed by Wright saying "The chickens have come home to roost" to the backdrop of the Twin Towers burning.

Interesting hypothesis, except if they were going to start airing those ads, they would have already. The other problem is, that scandal did not hurt Obama during the primary, a time when it should have hurt him the most considering he was still considered a bit of a long shot for the nomination. If the scandal didn't hurt him when it was fresh, then how can it be expected to hurt him months after the fact? Especially now that he has disassociated himself with Wright?

It depends on how they use the Wright issue, and what they use it with.....

As an independent issue, probably not a big deal....

Wright is a jumping point...not the entire point.

But what kind of jumping off point could it be used for? His lack of judgment? McCain, the GOP, and Hillary Clinton have already attacked his lack of judgment and those attacks have failed to work against him. As of today, Obama is still ahead in many swing states, and McCain and co. have put out a slew of attack ads against him which have failed to harm him. The Wright scandal is a dead issue, it was dead months ago when it didn't work to derail Obama and I don't see how resurrecting it now or even before the election is going to do the Republicans any good.

Well, the papparazzi have gotten a few shots of Barack running on the beach in Hawaii.

I predict the McCain campaign will issue a new ad criticizing Obama for not running in an American-enough manner.

I mean, MY GOD: He's jogging? In a t-shirt and shorts? What an elitist! And no shoes? What is he, a member of the Vietcong?

McCain probably will attack Obama, saying that if elected president, you won't see him running around like that "celebrity."

Probably because McCain can barely walk, let alone run...

Why would they start now? The audience will become desensitized to them if they start playing it now. Furthermore, I disagree that the primaries are when it would hurt him. It'll hurt him by rallying the extreme right, religious right, and even undecided right before the election.

I never said that it was a tactic that I would employ, or one that would work.

I'm sure John McCain can still run when (or if) he needs to. :cwink:

LOL! Did you see McCain's latest attack ad? LOL I think his camp has a crush on Obama. Either that or McCain has a serious jealous/napolean complex.

Though, I must admit that Obama does have nice legs.

That's because he has diaper rash. It hurts to cause friction.

This is the latest McCain attack ad. It's called..."Dreamy". :whatever:

My honest opinion? This is by far the stupidest campaign ad I have ever seen. Not because it's against Obama (because I hope he doesn't release something this lame either) but because of the silliness of its execution. I mean seriously: did an adult come up with this?

And the whole "Raise Taxes On $42Kers" thing is an outright lie.

I realize what McCain is trying to do but...this "dumbing down" campaigning is going to backfire on him.

What if were to find footage of Osama sing "Life every voice and Sing" and they repeatedly keep saying Obama is sing the Black National anthem. Combined that with a couple of shots of reverend Wright and boom instant controversy dealing with racial issues and Patriotism.

I honestly thought it was kinda funny. Especially the Wayne's World clip at the end.

It is amusing. I don't think it's the kind of thing that should officially be coming from a presidential campaign though...

Pronouns... they're what makes posts readable

Yeah, you're right. Its not exactly...professional...but still funny.

It's important to know how Obama affects local Taco Bells.

Theyll need to find a new issue. Wright was blown up ages ago, no matter what McCain does it with it, the press wont blow it up again and thats all that will really matter. Theyll need something else.
