I like the line "we all have secrets: the ones we keep and the ones kept from us".

but I fear the trailer didn't have enough action to get the general audience hyped. I guess that will come later.

I think the GA will be engaged by the trailer and will want to see this movie because it looks character driven rather than a bombastic action filled mess.

The POV shot really struck me as brilliant in HD. You can see the cars below and all the smog. Let us not forget those glorious HD pigeons.

the POV definately looks better in HD but I need to see it in 3D to seal the deal.

if you look at the lab where spidey is bitten, note the depth of black compared to the blues. that is incredible contrast. gorgeous images.

Whether the POV shot looks good or not, I still don't want to see it often. There's something so incredible about seeing Spider-man actually wing. I remember sitting in the theater in 2002 and being in awe. Hell, I remember seeing him swing in the trailer when i whent to see Jurassic Park III.

Unfortunately "character driven" doesn't get people in the theaters.

That's why you draw them with intense action then surprise them with a character driven story.

Although I was blown away by the bootleg, the teaser looks even 10 times greater with this quality! Now can't wait for QT.

Especially love this shot

P.S. Spider-man's POV was just brilliant! It's really worth watching the entire film in 3D :spidey:

Yeah I'm all about black and blue contrast..idk why but those colors always jump out to me and they're really gorgeous

I've got a balcony you can jump off if you'd like to compare. That would be the most realistic 3D experience. There's even a car parked down there at the moment for a safe landing, which would also show you expolding glass in full HD 3D.

While I'm really not fond of the suit, this image is AWESOME!!:spidey:

You're like a broken record lol. Relax, we've seen footage upon footage of them filming him swing, and in none of that footage did he have a camera strapped to his head. :yay:

Lol, I'm just worried. You should see me repeat myself in real life. I annoy the hell out of people...sometimes.

TDK
inception

trailers heavy on exposition and light on action

I wonder if
the scene at the dock takes place towards the beginning of the movie?

very fincher. heavy contrast in every image. look at the scene where he is walking down the school corridor, beautiful. even the mundane in this trailer looks amazing. and the score...chills. I hope they keep that and build on it.

You're very Welcome!

I am not fond of it either, but I doubt it's going to be a problem for me to get used to it. What matters is how they present Spider-man, which I don't think I have any concerns about as of now.

Another comic book film that had different colors was Punisher: War Zone. There was a scene where Castle sat down in his chair and a blue light lit up only his head. Looked like it was ripped straight out of a Punisher: MAX comic book.

Though, I still perfer The punisher (2004) with Thomas Jane.

If the movie is good, I'll overlook the suit. If it isn't, then comes my rants, lol.

I still have my concerns, but I've already stated that.

Yeah I agree. Webb did direct music videos so I'm sure he and the cinema photographer tried to really bring the right aesthetic to every shot and that color contrast is always the sign of a good photographer
