It's not Sony's choice. It's Marvel's choice whether or not it is physically attached to Cap. I don't know how much more simpler I can make that. It won't be attached to Cap. It doesn't matter if ASM has been shooting longer. That has nothing to do whether or not it's attached to a Marvel Studios movie. It will come in it's own little bin that theater owners will play in front of whatever movie they want.

I'll hold you to that.

RIM has stated that UK theaters have received prints of the trailer, so we know that it's coming this month outside of Comic-Con. As for the trailer with Cap thing, it seems most likely, so we are guessing it's coming with Cap, and we know it's coming sometime this month.

Oh, okay then. Cool. I didn't know RIM mentioned that.

If you go back and read the rumors that it was going to be released with Transformers, you didn't hear anybody claiming it would be attached to Transformers. You heard them say it would be released with Transformers.

It may appear in front of Captain America, but that is because the theater owner chooses to put that trailer in front of Cap and not because Sony sent Marvel hundreds of thousands of ASM trailer reels for Marvel to splice it to the front of Cap.

I don't get how it's improbable to have a trailer with Cap. SM3 had it's teaser debut in front of SR, a WB film.

The Mission Impossible trailer and Cap trailer attached to Transformers 3 is no coincidence...all three are Paramount films

Cap was attached to Transformers because Paramount distributed the movie and MI4 is a Paramount flick.

Plus RIM or whomever people keep referring to in here said that the trailer is being sent out to theaters. That means it's not attached to Cap if he is telling the truth. I just find it odd that nobody has leaked any info about it.

Exactly. I don't see how it's such a far fetched idea when in the past we had a trailer for a Spider-Man movie in front of a Superman movie.

They weren't movies coming out the same year that would be direct competitors and I am sure WB and Sony made a deal.

I am not saying it doesn't happen, I just don't think it would be wise of Marvel to show a trailer for a movie that would be their competitor the following year. Plus with the talks that Sony Pictures is going bankrupt, you would think Marvel would try to hasten that to get back their golden child.

Agreed. I mean, Chaseter definitely has a point, but I still don't see that as a reason to not have it in front of Cap.

First, the so called "talk" of bankruptcy originated from one speculative article. Secondly, like someone else said, Avengers and Spider-Man aren't close to each other, therefore not competing. Usually, movies are in theaters for about a little bit more than a month. Spidey is all the way in July, while Avengers is early May. I don't consider them to be competing.
