I saw Jouney 2 in 3D yesterday, and I can confirm that the trailer was not with it. I'm a bit a bit surprised that it was with Star Wars though.

I just figured they'd show it with a new movie instead of a re-release. I didn't think a re-release would be a huge crowd draw, so it was the last movie I expected it to be with. And it was rumoured to be with Journey 2.

I just figured they'd show it with a new movie instead of a re-release. I didn't think a re-release would be a huge crowd draw, so it was the last movie I expected it to be with. And it was rumoured to be with Journey 2.

It made a mill in it's midnight release so it'll probably be the biggest movie this weekend..they made the right choice..psh I even talked myself into going to see it smh

I've never seen Star Wars. Well, actually I did, as a kid, except for Revenge of the Sith, [I think. I might've seen the original films too, but I can't really remember], but only because my brother kept bugging me to watch it.

I don't get why people have to bash Maguire to talk about how they feel about this film. Toby did an excellent job, especially in the first two movies.

For those of us who grew up on the Lee/Romita Spider-man, that is what we got in the Raimi films.

Now I'm glad they are trying to do something new here, because what would be the point of just remaking the first one with mechanical web shooters? I think the footage has looked fabulous and I think this movie could actually be the highest grossing out of all the super-hero films. After all Spider-man 1 holds the record for highest grossing non-sequel film.

Anyway looking forward to the film, but you can't take away from what the first two Raimi films were.

Why is there such an urge to bash Raimi's movies? The first one was an awesome origin story and the second one was one of the greatest comic book movies of all time.

And where did the hate for Tobey come from?!? He did an excellent job. He gave very strong emotion to a comic book character not seen before on the big screen.

The third movie overshadows the whole trilogy for you guys though obviously

Ill wait for the movie to come out and see if it's better than Raimi's than by just looking at the trailer.

Agreed. Majority of us love the first 2 (despite our gripes).

Part of the problem is that the people who have legitimate complaints about Raimi's movies end up getting labeled as haters as soon as they open their mouths. I like Spidey 1-3 but they aren't perfect and they certainly aren't immune to criticism.

But when a movie gets loved for certain aspects it has when its released, then gets hated after this new trailer for those same aspects? Seems like blind hate.

I agree, I love and will always love the old trilogy but that's not to say their without their faults.

I don't have a problem with disliking Raimi's films, but it's only brought up to make some kind of point about how much better Webb's version is.

Yet no one has actually seen it.

So even if you like Raimi's films overall, they had problems. Wouldn't you expect to have problems with Webb's also?
