I gotta say, i'm glad Bendis is using Thor, i was afraid he was gonna shove him to the side like Sentry. That said, i dunno, this book isn't pulling me in for some reason. Its got all the ingredients that would make me wanna read it but...i just dont. Maybe i'm finally sick of bendis. lol

Bendis uses Thor surprisingly well, too. My expectations were several feet underground for how Bendis would treat him, but between Siege, Avengers, and Avengers: Prime, he's been all right.

Siege was very good. By far Marvel's best event imo. It was short and sweet, not long and drawn out like the others. One small nitpick i have with his use of Thor tho is the way he speaks. JMS, Gillen and Fraction all write thor's speech so well and yet its blatantly obvious Bendis is handicapped when writing mythological characters.

True, but I've developed a tolerance for Bendis' dialogue in general. He writes everyone pretty badly a solid 80% of the time.

What really worries me is that Fraction has issues with awkward dialogue for Thor as well, and he's actually gonna be writing Thor's series in a couple months.

Only because anyone can objectively see that John Romita, Jr. is a phenomenal artist.

Romita is fine, its his colorist that makes the book look...off in my opinion. They shoulda got someone like Laura Martin to color his pencils. This is supposed to be the big, flashy looking book and thats not Dean White's style.

Nah, he's just going for speed. His art got really sloppy at times when he was drawing Thor and Amazing Spider-Man simultaneously a few years ago. But the total package was still light years beyond what most young whippersnapper artists can muster.

Amora seems to have replaced all the crazy Thor, Balder, and Loki left her with in the Thor God-Size Special with anger. Can't wait. I really wish Bendis could write the regular Avengers title as well as he's writing this.

This. I've always wanted to see a JLA-esque version of Avengers, and this finally brings it, but there's still something lacking about this book. Even with the massive storyline, it still dosent feel epic.

Seriously...I've not read hulk since World War Hulk, and Red Hulk looked like a garbage marketing tool.....but seriously, Gen. Ross? Whats the deal with that? Was it a "I'll become a freak to fight freaks" type thing?
