Exactly. He's scum. I respect him as a fighter, who doesn't? But as a human being he's the kind of guy i wouldn't piss on if he was on fire.

Yep. Outside the Lines covered this brilliantly yesterday as well.

Last night was not easy for Wlad. He looked old and slow. He also seems incapable of fighting without clinching and pushing a ton. Probably the last time we see him fight in the States.

He's always been a clincher and pusher but i agree this will probably be his last fight in the States.

Could be Tyson Fury next he's the WBO #1 ranked contender.

Wlad has always pushed and clinched. But he did that more for caution then anything. Last night he looked like he had to, or he was lost.

Mayweather/Pacquiao: The Legends Speak

Cheers, very good watch.

I'm going for a Mayweather win, Marquez sums it up quite well in his interview, I think Mayweather is a much smarter fighter than Pacquiao. He won't stand his ground and try to brawl with Pacquiao, he'll try to pick his shots, get in & out taking as little damage as possible.

The biggest factor is Pacquiao's speed & his endurance. If he can keep going for 12 rounds at top speed, we might actually see him win. But for me I think if Pacquiao is going to win, he'll win via stoppage inside first 4 rounds. I think if it goes beyond that, Mayweather will either outscore him or potentially finish him if Pacquiao gets frustrated & tries to chase him.

Should be an excellent fight hopefully. Gonna have a cheeky bet on Pacquiao KO'ing him inside first 4 rounds though even though I think Mayweather will win.

Brilliant, but what has it been, 5 or 6 fights he's had since his conviction? If he wasn't fighting Pacquiao, ESPN wouldn't care. They're really just showing how much they don't focus on Boxing in favor of other sports.

I have no problem with people taking issue, but take issue with everything. Now, after Ray Rice, everybody wants to become an activist. Hope Solo beat up her half-sister & teenage newphew, I almost had to go investigate that myself to hear anything about it. OTL should've had a special about that, or Britney Griner, which just happened last week. The double standards are an issue, beyond just Floyd Mayweather, but with sports, and to a larger extent, society in general.

I actually think the situation with the NFL brought this to the forefront. Sports as a whole have been sweeping under the rug years of domestic violence by male athletes. Hell, we have seen murder on that front and the things Floyd did are horrible. Also, ESPN personalities have basically gone out of their way to say its their job to cover it.

Also, they did cover the Hope Solo situation, more then once. I download the podcast daily, and I distinctly remember them talking about Solo.

I don't even know what you're talking about anymore, I never really did. And who mentioned Pacquiao?

Oh I'm sure the NFL stuff did, that was my point. And they may have covered Solo, but it wasn't plastered all over their shows either. They definitely weren't leading their programs with her story, just like the Britney Griner situation hasn't made much news.

They're not even calling it "domestic violence" for reasons I still struggle to understand. She has to attend "domestic violence counseling" but they don't mention her victim as a victim of domestic violence at all. It's just the double standard that I have an issue with. If Ray Rice's video didn't surface, domestic violence wouldn't be at the forefront of anyone's mind, whether it should be or not.

As I said before, almost 85% of the athletes in boxing have done something bad, if not downright deplorable. You usually don't get into that business from a great upbringing. That being said, everything they're trying to make newsworthy this week deserved all this attention when it first happened. He went to jail, it's not his decision on how long he had to stay there.

Do you guys want a rematch or should this fight be a one time deal regardless of the outcome?

Depends on the fight. You can't know if you want a rematch until the first fight has happened.

I have a pretty good feeling this will be a no frills/no action 12 round decision match and the casual boxing fans will call it boring and will not be asking for a rematch. But if the networks make enough $$ they will be asking for one sure.

I for one do really care for a rematch, this fight should have really happen like 5 years ago imo.

A rematch will happen only if it's a close fight or someone get's a S/D victory.

Oh great timing, I actually came in here just to ask what you guys thought about the chances of a rematch. Surely the loser would want another go, especially if it was Mayweather. Pacquiao if it was close enough that he thought he could win a rematch. Even without that as long as the fight was close there would be another huge pay cheque for all concerned so who knows.

If the fight is close, there will be a rematch. If it's one-sided nope.

Mayweather came in @146lb

Pacquiao came in @ 145lb
