that Mr. Routh was on MTV's greatest acted show ever ....UNDRESSED...anyone rememebr that show...the acting was far from being par even for teenage soaps standards....and yet you guys want him as your SUPERMAN

Chris Reeve was a soap guy on Love of Life, which even he admitted sucked most of the time. Should we skin him alive for daring to take up the cape?

I think Routh deserves the benefit of the doubt. If he sucks, I'll be the first to jump down his throat. But I'll be the first to catch his back if he knocks it out of the park.

his unseen photos are very welcomed. but his sexuality is none of our concern. let's pay more attention to his acting and whether he can pull off the character. if not mistaken, reeve was questioned his, back then after he'd done the film deathtrap.

I have many gay friends and since I was so Hyped about the movie I told them who the new Superman is.
They know him from the episode he's done on Will&Grace and said that they think (by seeing his photo's, specially the clothes he wears that he's gay.

If people on this boards can only learn to READ the posts and stop making their own conclusions of what the other person is trying to say/ask and just awnser them, this could be a much more of a happy place.

I understand your feelings on this Kryptonite X.......but the people here are a little battle scarred at the moment. There was a massive group of posters showing up here for a while ripping into Routh in every way imagenable.....and they got rather crude with their anti-homosexual rants. Most of the posters here now, are not worried about his sexual orientation, but they are sensitive to people bringing it up because of the earlier attacks.

we don't regard it as an attack. we just don't think it matters for the movie. we would prefer to pay our attention to his acting and his abilities to show us 'the superman presence'. it only matters... perhaps for your wild imagination?

His eyes are scary, lol, but it's a nice image of what we could expect Routh to look like.

The lighter blue his eyes are, more kryptonian he will look. Superman has light blue eyes. Take a look at Kingdom Come.

I love the choise of Brandon Routh for Superman and believe if Singer chose him, he would be the right choise.

I am a Superman fan as everyone else here. I support wichever actor that can bring justice to this film no matter what his sexuality.(Although it can become a problem for this movie as some people may come out saying Singer is using Superman for gay propeganda) This is logic, plain common sense and to me something that goes without saying.

And to everyone that needs to lay a egg about this:
I am not gay and don't have a problem with gay people, I was just curious!

Just because someone guest stars on Will & Grace (in a role where he plays a character who isn't gay, by the way) doesn't necessarily make that person gay.

Also, the way a person dresses cannot determine whather or not said person is gay or not (even though some gay people might argue this point) especially when said person was a model. (Need I post some of the Schmelling pics from his Abercrombie & Fitch days?? I think not.)

The answer to your question is we don't know. No one has asked him, and he certainly hasn't asked me or any other one of us guys out. Only time will tell.
