Is anyone else, I dunno, I guess a little freaked out by Routh's resemblance to Chris Reeve? I know some people don't think they look alike (you're all blind) but well, for the people that do, I dunno, something about it just doesn't sit well. I mean Chris Reeve was the superman of his time and now that time has passed. The reason why Reeve was picked and done up the way he was, was because they wanted Superman to look as much like the comic as possible. I'm hoping that Singer is trying to emulate the comic as well and not previous Superman movies because I feel like a lot will be lost in the translation. Superman Returns should be "Superman Returns" and not "Chris Reeve Returns."

Hmmm, I dunno, I guess I just wish the priority was making Superman look like the comic as opposed to the 1978 film. Donner's crew had that priority and I'm not sure if Singer's idea is gonna work based on what I've heard and seen. I could be wrong. Like, I would be freaked out watching a spitting image of Chris Reeve on the screen acting like Superman. First of all, the guy's dead. Second of all, It would be an imitation of an imitation and I'm not really a fan of that. I dunno, I need to hear more news to make a more informed opinion.

When was it said that he "blew people away" in the screentest? I'm not being sarcastic, by the way - just curious. All I heard was what Singer said in an interview; that he first saw him as Superman in a pic on the Internet and when he first saw him enter the room for the test, he had that Superman presence - or something.

Based on Enigma2k's description of the new Superman suit, I have designed this version of the suit in Photoshop. On the left is the new suit I designed, and on the right is the original image, so you can see the difference between the two suits:

I made the colors darker, made all the yellow into gold, gave it a new \S/ (which was designed by Stewie Griffin) and made the \S/ smaller, designed a new belt with the \S/ on it, made the trunks smaller, and gave the suit a diamond-like pattern. I wasn't exactly sure what he meant by "the collar goes up higher," so I left that alone for now.

In this picture, you can see the detail on the belt, and the pattern on the suit:

If the final suit looks something like this, I think it will be awesome looking in the movie.
