Dayumm....
Well, I guess that's a good thing for their pocketbooks but not good for your sex life...he he he

LOL!Ruthmarks said:Josh Hartnett has also starred in two abysmal flops in a row. Never trust the opinion of someone who is committing career suicide.![]()
Cool... that is pretty hot.Ruthmarks said:Triplet, believe me, it was VERY hot. I used to keep finding buttons on my floor weeks or months afterwards ...
Having gone to a university in the Northeast, I was also fortunate enough to have dated guys who were pretty preppy (Polo, L.L. Bean, Bass, etc), so that definitely helped in the "shirt ripping" category. The first guy that I asked was a little surprised by the request, but when he found out the reason (big Superman fan, fetish for the whole shirt ripping thing), you should have seen the HUGE grin that appeared on his face. And of course, he did it with flying colors (white polo oxford, ruined in a second). It's pretty funny how guys love to show off.
But considering the money involved, it sort of became a "special event" thing -- one of my ex-boyfriends in school even dressed up in a suit and tie and glasses (as a -- ahem -- birthday gift) ... and get this, he'd painted the "S" on his chest. He was an athlete too, which was pretty nice.
All amusement aside, I think Superman will be getting annoyed with this, so just to keep it on topic --
Brandon Routh is Superman! Woohoo!![]()

well, if there is such a curse... TW will get it too!!! if he can't get a leading role in any A-class movie, we shall believe the curse exists.Ruthmarks said:I think it's interesting that Tom Welling and Brandon Routh had the good sense to take the roles of Young Clark Kent and Clark Kent/Superman respectively despite the supposed "trappings" of the role. Welling has reaped huge rewards as a result which include a hit television show and the strong possibility of a movie career as a leading man, if he plays his cards right. Routh is going to go from a struggling, no-name young actor to a household name if Bryan Singer and company deliver.
And Hartnett?

Just because she opened the door, doesn't mean you have to go through it.superfever said:don't blame me. ^^^ the fair lady said that.![]()

Tom Welling: Does the episode of Smallville called Jinx.Ruthmarks said:People who have suffered the wrath of the "Not Taking the Role of Superman Curse:"
Paul Walker: Stars in the mega-flop "Timeline" for Paramount.
Ashton Kutcher: Mysteriously dropped from M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village" and dismissed from Cameron Crowe's "Elizabethtown" when the director made it clear that he couldn't act.
Jude Law: "Alfie" goes down like the Titanic.
Okay, so maybe I'm stretching here ...
Oh yes, Brandon Routh is Superman!!! Woohoo!![]()

Oh, well...
Ruthmarks said:Um ... well, just to change the subject ...
There was this cute guy I was dating in college, and he showed up one day in this preppy shirt that looked like it needed ripping, so I said "Matt, I know something you could do ... "

Seriously, on the subject of Routh, anyone here think that the studio will try to keep him out of the spotlight -- as far as being in costume as Superman -- for as long as possible before the film comes out? Will they go the tried and true route of having a spot before the Super Bowl and teasers with him in costume? Perhaps release some pictures of him in costume on the net? Or do you think the marketing department at WB will try to keep that under wraps until the last possible moment?
And could they keep such a thing under wraps considering the amount of media attention and websites such as this one who'd love to be the first to show "our boy" in his Super threads?
