I think this thread has gone as far off track as it can...

Pretty much. That, and they're homophobes - always with gay-jokes, slurs, etc. :whatever:

Yep. They have the maturity of 13 yrs. old kids that haven't gone to high school yet. What a pity. Not to mention nothing smart & intelligent to say too.

I just got here, Showy. Don't hurt me.

He won't hurt you, but he will ban you! :woot: :woot:

I'm still waiting for King-Jackass and/or any of the 20 members of SaveSuperman for actual evidence where they've "proven" people wrong and reported information before anyone else.

Instead, it's just more flaming. :whatever:

I've been away. So who are you talking about Willis (FilmNerdJamie)? ;)
Details please if they don't drive you too much up the wall.

The people s/he posted about in he/r post? I thought they'd be part of the we-hate-Singer-brigade. They're not? As I said I've been away.

Was that another language? :csad:

It was meant as either he or she (i.e. s/he or she/he) as I'm not sure about your sex. I know most here are male. But not everyone. No insult intended as I am a woman. We live in a world where it's a bad thing to be a woman even in the West. Oh well.

Enough with the sidetrack. What's the goss? And for future reference are you male? Not required and I can't guarrantee I have a perfect memory.

Garcia tapped for Legendary gig
Exec named senior VP of creative affairs

Legendary Pictures has hired production exec Alex Garcia as senior VP of creative affairs.

Garcia has worked for eight years with director Bryan Singer, including the last five as VP of production of the helmer's Bad Hat Harry Prods.

During his tenure, Garcia oversaw the production of "Superman Returns," "Trick 'r Treat," "Valkyrie," Sci Fi Channel miniseries "The Triangle" and the first three seasons of the Fox TV series "House." "Superman Returns" and "Trick 'r Treat" were produced in partnership with Legendary.

Garcia will focus on development of Legendary's homegrown projects, including "Paradise Lost," "Warcraft" and "The Mountain." He'll report to chief creative officer Jon Jashni.

Legendary is partnered with Warner Bros. in a co-producing and co-financing deal that runs through 2012. Its most recent co-production with the studio was "The Dark Knight"; upcoming releases include "Watchmen," "Observe and Report," "The Hangover," "Where the Wild Things Are" and "Ninja Assassin."

see its stuff like this that has always given me the impression that legendary was really on board for a SR sequel and has a good working relationship with singer.

You're right on.

You're right on.

which brings us back to the point that wb has no idea what they are doing or want to do

and it suprises me that legendary's financing power didnt resonate more with warners to finance the project and get things going

If Legendary are the ones that want Singer back, and WB are the ones that don't want Singer back, then WB knows exactly what they are doing.

Variety reports that Alex Garcia, the vice president of production at Bryan Singer’s Bad Hat Harry Productions, has been hired by Legendary Pictures as their senior vice president of creative affairs.
Why is this important? Because Garcia is an old hand at genre films, having worked on Superman Returns, Trick ‘r Treat, and the Sci Fi Channel series The Triangle. It’s clear that Legendary has this in mind, as he will be working on the company’s upcoming Warcraft film.
Legendary has already co-produced some top-tier comic book movies, including The Dark Knight and Watchmen.

That also reminded me of this (from 2007) about Warcraft:
In a discussion around direction and casting, the creative heads let it be known that no decisions had been made at this point. Tull pointed out that the movie probably would not need recognizable actors in order to be successful, pointing to his company's recent film Superman Returns as an example.
To illustrate this point, Tull recounted a story where he and Superman star Brandon Routh were flying on a plane together. As Tull was sealing the Warcraft deal over the phone, Routh asked, "Wait a minute, you know the Warcraft guys? Can you get me a tour of the Warcraft thing?"

When/if they do get that movie put together, it certainly would not surprise me to see Routh involved. He is a big fan and a player of the game.
