yea with everyone with their varied opinions its hard to ever have the same likes.

I didn't say that. You can bash Nolan's Batman all you want I don't care. I love it and you hate it that is fine with me. However this fighting between Superman fans over each other. I'm just fed up and sick of it. It is just ridiculous, pathetic, and really childish.

Well, you can blame on Singer's Superman Sucks blog, 'cause they quite started the whole mess first with their childish insults along with calling people "homo". Seriously, do they have some kinda of gay fetish with saying "homo" to describe anyone they don't like 24/7? Not to mention they don't have anything much to say about Superman & just focus on talking about gay talk & all that. It like they're talking about gay porn. Yeah, those are Superman's fans there all right. :whatever:

Honestly. One point Start Trekker had that I agree with is this is tiresome, and yes I've participated in the childishness as well. Nightwing, you really need to just let people have their own websites and leave it at that. I think there has been enough back and forth. Whether you agree with Steve or not you can't prevent the guy from having a site and the members from having their viewpoints. If you think what they are doing is "bad" then so is what you're doing right there. It is hypocritical.

I meant in general around the world not any specific place.

If I said I hate you would that prove your point (totally kidding)? ;) :)

On second thought I just don't think hating people or things are worth it. I can and do have the ability to feel anger. I even vent it occasionally but I rather have fun and feel the love. :)

Are there no stories except a rumour that Bryan might be doing "Logan's Run" at the moment?

This interview seems jumbled and you can't tell who is saying what in some instances but at least it gets the thread back on track...

SEOUL: Bryan Singer is late. Or lost. We're supposed to be doing an interview with him but nobody can find him and the PR girls are getting antsy. Finally, after a wait of almost 30 minutes, he arrives. Apparently, the producer/director and "Valkyrie" star Tom Cruise had taken a scenic route through the kitchens of the Grand Hyatt hotel in Seoul, and one turn led to another and, well, you know.

Still, we've got him now, much to his handler's relief. You've got be quick, she tells us, you've only got 15 minutes. But we want to take a photo with him, too. Okay, 14 minutes, she says.

Hey, lady, it's not our fault the dude got lost in the kitchen.

You called the movie a suspense thriller. But where's the suspense if people already know how the movie ends?

Singer: Well, I try to use that as an advantage as opposed to a disadvantage. Kind of like "Titanic". You know the ship will sink. But I want to tell the things that people don't know about.

Germans know the Stauffenberg story, but outside Germany, few people know the story. So by staying with the story of the characters and particularly with (Colonel Claus von) Stauffenberg, I was able to create a lot of suspense that way.

How did you react to the Stauffenberg family disagreeing with having Tom Cruise play the Colonel?

You read that from the Internet and the press, right? That was Stauffenberg’s eldest son Berthold who said something to the press, way back when, perhaps out of scepticism. But then we produced a documentary which he participated in and gave an excellent interview and I think the family was very happy.

We had a screening for the entire Stauffenberg family. It's a very large family - three theatres with people all named Stauffenberg.

The movie is very serious. Were there any Spinal Tap moments making it?

There were many! There was one time we were having lunch in the lunch tent and Tom looks over and we see Hitler - David Bamber - in a tank top eating his lunch by himself! And Tom's like, 'It's Hitler! In a tank top, no less!' That was quite funny and bizarre.

There's a lot of talk about a gay subtext in your movies. Does that bother you?

No, whatever anyone wants to say, fine. That doesn't bother me at all. I mean, if it's inaccurate, I don't like it. Like when people were asking questions about Superman: 'Is he straight or gay?' That was absurd! He's straight, he's been in love with Lois Lane for 70 years!

Things like that seem silly to me. Otherwise, I'm okay. Let people find subtext in "X-Men" and all that - that’s okay.

What’s in the pipeline for you?

I'm taking a rest now. The last four years have been crazy. My TV show "House" has passed 100 episodes, it's amazing! I was doing "Superman Returns", and producing a mini series for the Sci-Fi network. I was doing "Dirty Sexy Money" (as executive producer). So now I want to take a step back.

I'm also very interested in the international film scene, in the Korean film industry, which was why I met up with some of them. My next movie will probably be in the science fiction or fantasy realm because I'm really interested in that.

"Superman" again? Nothing specific yet. But you never know.

Is that last sentence a quote from Singer? In the beginning, the non-quotes are in italics, so I am guessing it's from him.

I couldn't tell. I can't tell if it is Singer or the writer of the article interjecting their opinion.

(sigh) I really wish W.B. would say something either way. Is singer in or out? A new director or no? Is a new film even in the works?
It's really not fair to the fans to keep us hanging like this.

Has Singer ever just come out and said that he won't be involved? And if not, why not? I mean he's come pretty close hasn't he?

I can understand why he wouldn't want to spoil what, if anything, that WB's got planned as a matter of professional courtesy if not contractual obligation. But, to just come out and say he won't be directing, I wonder why that's not happened?

I think he is doing Logan's Run next. If it was Superman, he would probably say it.

Yea, I don't understand the harm if he comes out and says he won't be directing the next Superman film if that is indeed the case. It's not like he has to reveal who WB is considering. When MTV asked him back around December about if he was returning to direct another Superman, he was very distant about it, just saying he can't talk about that now. I mean geez, SR came out in 2006 and he still can't say if he is directing another Superman film or not?

By all indications he is not, but why not just come out and say it?! Again, what's the harm? Just say, I won't be directing another Superman film, the studio has decided to go in another direction and I cannot comment any further. Is that so hard? WB is being so secretive now with these superhero projects but I don't understand how Singer saying that would impact their future plans with the character in anyway. We still won't know who would be directing, writing, if Routh is indeed coming back etc... It's so frustrating!

wasnt that pretty simular to another interview with singer not to long ago?

Looks pretty similar to me, I was thinking the same thing.

To me, all these interviews with Singer (at least regarding Superman and "what's next?" as his bit on Charlie Rose, for example, was different and really, quite interesting) are starting to read the same.

Because he's been told not to talk? Or it's Singer. Oh well.

Singer has ruined every adaptation he has taken part in and needs to never touch any ever again. He got Superman wrong and both the Xmen wrong...he needs to stop and move on completely
