Traded in 1 to 7 to my shop last week and I'm going to get my next 3 weeks pulls for freet:
There is no way I am going to read through over 10,000 posts. What tie ins are worth reading and or necessary to read for the Civil War? I read a couple FF4s and Spider-Man's I liked them and felt they did explain a bit more in the main story line.
You know, I thought you'd only need the actual Civil War books (1-7) to get the necessary story, but I was wrong. The Fantastic Four books give a great insight into the motivation for Reed's actions. I'd say read as much Civil War stuff as possible to get the full story.

Actually, the FF ties ins are COMPLETELY different reasons for why Reed does what he does, just to muck things up really good.
No prob. Sorry I couldn't be more specific. Thanks Cap
Wait I thoughthe supported the registration and sent people to the negative zone because something far worse would happen if that did not happen
I'd also recommend Front Line, even though a lot of people felt it was just a bunch of left wing mumbo jumbo.
That's what they eventually chose to come up with after the whole commie uncle thing they came up with at first didnt' convince anybody.
And FF and the main series gave different scenarios for Sue finally leaving Reed. Sheesh! Where were the editors?

I suppose you don't need to read them, but there was a lot not addressed in the actual Civil War books. I bought both Frontline trades and it took me a while to read them. It starts off slow, but then progresses. But I didn't see what any of it had to do with the Civil War. I didn't gain a greater understanding of the entire War after reading Frontline. Still, fun I guess. You don't need to read any of the tie ins. But Cap, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man were some of the best. I'd also recommend Front Line, even though a lot of people felt it was just a bunch of left wing mumbo jumbo.
