I got my votes up! We still haven't heard from Witchking and Hellstormer on the two votes from the previous week. I think both matches are currently tied, right? Right now, if we can't have a decision by the time voting is done, it is looking like a rematch.

Man I am pretty surprise on how some of the votes have come out. Mainly the Tri-Sentinel/Debrii and Spider-Man/Sunturion matchups. I love SM but come'on....how was spidey going to get around his forceshield....his intangibility...the fact he control the weapons systems....None of these issues were answered in the debate...so basically it comes down to "oh spidey has beaten some big hitters so he should this one....okay how?"

The creating the gas to counter his spidey sense was a small stretch but it has been done by many of his villains, and in my debate I didn't say he knew he had a spidey-sense, just that he would create the potion to counter any possibility that he might have. It could be just a simple tear gas and it could affect SM.

I am happy how my other two matches turned out....As for Thor, it was a long shot, and yeah I wasn't really feeling it so I am not dissapointed.

Yeah, the Tri-Sentinel/Debrii match has been kinda ticking me off. But being that I don't want to influence votes in my own match, I won't say anymore than that.

As for the Spidey/Sunturion match, I was about 50/50. Unfortunately, the randomness of Sunturion just creating something to negate Spidey Sense kinda put me off. He wouldn't know about it, and the idea of doing it by accident is even more odd. It'd be a great fight and Spidey would be beat down pretty bad, but he really has taken on worse, and that little nugget about the Spidey sense, unfortunately, put a bad taste in my mouth and nudged me toward Spidey.

And again, this isn't favortism or just assuming he can win because he's spidey... this is BND Spidey... and I HATE all things BND Spidey and wanted him out first round just to show the supiorority of The Other Spidey.

So yeah, I can't speak for everyone, but for me, it was close and that one, fairly large, mishap unfortunately cost my vote.

I will say though that I'm a little surprised by my Ragnarok/Major Oaks fight. I didn't really expect to win but I thought I had a little shot to make it close. We've seen quite a few 'good debate' and such but still no votes (besides my own). Not heartbreaking, but I hoped I'd done better than that. I really grew to like Oaks while rereading the stuff with him again. He's a cool character. Really, most things Death's Head II was way cool!

Oh... and I'll definately be taking Skullfire into round two over Cyclops. Hate to see Cyclops go out so easily but Skullfire's one of my alltime favorate characters and he has a lot more diversity to him.

I did think the Ragnarok/Major Oaks was definitely going to be a closer matchup than my Spider-Man/Sunturion. I actually thought I was going to get a blow out in that one. Goes to show you, you never know how the votes are going to turn out.

I don't find it weird for a scientist to create a tear-gas type weapon to go into battle. It might not have knocked out his spidey-sense but it would have slowed him down at least. I won't say anymore in any case.

It's funny, I think cykes was taken out in the first season for a dumb reason too...possibly no debate...the guy can't catch a break (in the comics, cartoons or movies... )

JH - "X2 was so good that I don't want to be let down when X3 doesn't live up to it. I'm going in with 0 expectations so I can just enjoy it for what it is. My only requirement is that Cyclops has to have a bigger role than in X2, and really, that shouldn't be too hard."

Not to point, but I hated the way they treated him in the movies too, I just can't believe how badly they handled him in the third movie.
