That's what I told my wife. But honestly, I've been a huge Jackson fan since I was a tiny tot. My wife's he same way. Her ring tone is Thriller, I've had several MJ avatars on here. Tons of his music on my computer. I sing his stuff in the shower more than anyone else.

I've never bought the scandal stuff, though I do think he's very strange, but he was just a living legend for me. He was always one of those people that I just assumed would always be there, though I know better.

It inspired me to write a paper on it, 3 1/2 pages of what I'm thinking. I'm just not believing this.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around much lately. I've been really busy. I did manage to vote this week, and didn't even vote for myself in 2 of my 3 matches because I didn't have time to debate them. Things should be calming down, so I promise to get back to the normal posting on here.

That's the thing...you never know what to believe, especially when you find out that the families that sued him generally were people who tried to get money from other celebrities before. What was maddening was that after the first incident, he never changed his attitude towards kids being at his ranch. When you are such a big celebrity, you are making yourself a target to others.

That aside, he did make some great music in the 70's, 80's and even some in the 90's. Plus, he had such an influence on the world of dance. I'm a huge fan of So You Think You Can Dance, and you see people copying that old 80's style all the time.


Of course, I thought yesterday, "Thank God it wasn't Prince!" As you know, he's my favorite artist. When he dies, though, there will be an abundance of his old music that will sustain fans for many years. I wonder if MJ had anything in his vaults that we might hear in the future.

Ok, just got home and got everything up and going. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Remember, this is the last week for Round 1. It fits perfectly for us to take a break between the rounds, and gives everyone the holiday off for fun. I might post the Round 2 battles, but will just let everyone know they go for 2 weeks. (Or, I might be lazy and not do that.)

Did anyone else see Transformers 2? We saw it yesterday evening, and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I won't give anything away...not like there is much to give away. The plot is extremely thin, the acting God Awful (except for John Turturo), and way waaaaaaayyyyy too long. I just kept thinking, "When will this damn thing end??!@@???" The kids liked it, though. I think Transformers 1 blows it out of the water, though. Also, I agree with what some people are saying, that the two Transformers in that movie were pretty bad racial stereotypes.

Sorry for the silence and lack of help there Phaed. We had a huge storm come through and we lost power for around 20 hours until just an hour or two ago. Glad I got my votes in when I did.

Ooooohhhh... LOVE So You Think You Can Dance... but Mary Murphy needs hit by a truck really hard. She annoys me! Right now, I'm rooting for Ade and his cutie 29-year old partner, forget her name.

And yeah, loved that they did a tribute to Michael last night. It was small for being such short notice but it was fitting. Hate the guy they sent home though, I liked him a lot.

I didn't care for the first one and the sequel was worse. I loved Jet Fire, but that's pretty much it. Racist bots 1 and 2 were awful. Destroyer's wrecking ball nutsack was completely unnecessary, and the
