Oh, and as of right now, I'm loving the main three X-Books. They are bloody fantastic.

Guardians and Nova are better, but they are still great.

Uncanny sucks in my opinion. Legacy is slightly better (despite Gambit being involved.) And I don't got the patience for Astonishing right now. I got no time for the inevitable lateness.

Truth be told, the story isn't horrible...but man I have to force myself through Bianchi's art...it's just so....meh.

The story I don't mind. It's not the best, it's not the worst. I am enjoying it enough to keep reading though.

The art grates on me...but Bianchi always does that to me. I'm trying to ignore it since I'm enjoying the way Ellis writes the characters. Bianchi's art though, just doesn't do it for me.

I agree. I think it's the colouring, or something.

I don't really care for Bianchi's art all that much either. Pretty at first glance, but after a good look it starts to look kinda.....meh.

In many cases, his characters start to look kinda zombified...if you know what I mean. Kind of strange poses, emotionless expressions...that sort of thing.

I've dropped it once it fell into the standard X-Men pastiche of "Everything sucks and then you die and then you come back again and it sucks some more." Looking at the art from the past two issues, all I have to say is "freaking whew!"

And it really doesn't have the strong theme that it had when the series started anymore. Being pulled around in events with odd status quo shifts that don't feel at all organic. One such example out of many would be:

Val Cooper: "Here Guido, I want you to be the Sheriff here. Oh, wait, I guess I don't. Hell, screw it, I want all of you to work for me. Oh ****, you're all gone, I guess not then."

Stroman's art is pretty astonishing in its badness. I sometimes just sit and wonder how his eyes somehow see what's on the page and interpret it as a proper human head. There are hints of good--even downright great--panel layouts sometimes, but overall he's pretty terrible.

As for Val, it seems like David kind of interrupted his own arc there with his She-Hulk crossover. It seemed like Val was on the verge of essentially coercing Madrox under the table into working for her, but then suddenly there's Darwin and Jazinda and Skrulls.

Me, too, and I love it. But not the crossover arc. It was boring and yeah, the art was horrible except for the She-Hulk art. That guy should have done the whole thing.

Well, Marvel released a new teaser image, this time looking pretty clearly like a "real world" version of [BLACKOUT]Spider-Man[/BLACKOUT], complete with a [BLACKOUT]web gun[/BLACKOUT], a la Amalgam's [BLACKOUT]Spider-Boy[/BLACKOUT].

I gotta say, it kind of makes me less interested than I was before. Before I thought this project was going to be some weird Elseworlds X-Men story, but now it looks like it'll involve the entire MU, which makes me think it's much more about concept than actual storytelling. We'll see.
