Again, the way it was presented, not the fact that she clinged on to dear life and reached out to Perry.

Shannon was a great choice, but the role as written and directed could've been played by anyone. He did nothing special for the character.

Sorry, but I'm just not seeing what was melodramatic about that scene, I really don't. Also, Zod being restrained made sense for the battle hardened military officer. However, he also had a temper and could snap if pushed too far. Shannon did that perfectly.

It's ok if you don't agree. I'm not really trying to persuade you about that scene.

As for Zod, unlike others, I didn't expect Shannon's casting to mean unhinged insane Zod. I just think he did nothing special with the role. He could be recast and nothing would change. He certainly didn't reach the iconic status of Stamp's Zod (as cheesy as that portrayal and performance may have been).

Yeah. With Zod, you felt like he's a stoic character who lives by conviction, but also personal obsession.

I felt like Shannon portrayed that version of the character very well.

But if it were a "pure villain" rather than an antihero who happens to want to destroy earth, I think MS would be championed as the best CBM villain since Ledger.

That being said, I think Shannon does a great job of conveying emotion with his eyes, and having a sympathetic, yet brutish quality.

Loved Diane Lane as Martha Kent & her version is my favorite live action rendition of the character thus far. This, for me, was perfect casting because I've always been in love with Diane Lane so it was awesome to see her in a Superman movie.

I think it probably is. And that's why it's also called "Dawn of Justice", because it dawns on Bruce that someone needs to do Clark's ma some justice.

And maybe WW is offered as an olive branch between the two.

I wish the makeup dept would ease up on making her look old in BvS.

In MOS...they didn't need to do that....just add some greys to her hair and not as much old looking makeup.

Ease up on trying to make her look old and just let her natural facial looks do the work.
