The Official Fables Thread

So new issue... thoughts?

It was a nice change of pace from the Homelands arc, and nice to see what everyone was up to (still wanna see Snow and Bigby though .) Whatd you guys think of the traitor?
And the exchange between Mowgli and Bagheera was classic :D

Bagheera: Speaking of whom, do you know the old tiger's dead? Snow White shot him through his reputedly non-existant heart.
Mowgli: Yeah, I had hopes of dancing on his grave while I'm here.
Bagheera: You won't be the first. Baloo did a week-long song and dance revue on it. Seven nightly shows and a Sunday matinee. Not being a dancer, I had to content myself with pissing all over it.

AWESOME issue. And every reference to Bigby is cool as hell. He's just so totally badass to me.

So....according to news at SDCC, not only is there going to be a new OGN coming out that reveals what happened with the seven dwarves, but there's going to be a Jack of the Fables spin-off series by Willingham

Great news.

Me too. I actually wouldn't mind an anthology series featuring Fables characters similar to what the Dreaming initially was.....

So issue 40 came out this week and man, was it a doozy. Very good explanation of the
"Adversary" plus the fate of the Blue Fairy was creepy as hell.

One question is raised though:

Could Prince Charming also be a "puppet" created by Gepetto?

read it last week, actually. Slightly underwhelming., but still good.

why does it raise that question, john?

Probably because of the way he tried to change the status quo in Fabletown. I don't think he is though.

Good issue, but the adversary has been obvious for quite some time, even Willingham said we would already know by the time it was revealed, still a great read

Could all the events have been a way for the Adversary to maybe infiltrate Fabletown that way? By having Prince Charming take over? I doubt it may happen, but you never know with this series sometimes.......

What about the fact that Pinochio didn't even recognize
dear old dad? Didn't that throw anyone?

Yeah, that kinda gave me a double take as well.

Let's just say I totally regained interest in this book after the latest issue

Sorry I've had like 6 hours of sleep and copious ammounts of alcohol in the last two days. :(
