I have no reason to buy a PS3...Ive been with Microsoft since 2001 and have not been given a reason to change
I have a 360, i like it very much, but the truth is, Microsoft doesn´t show nothing to make us hyped or even to make anyone buy one.
I bought one in their greatest year, 2007.
In 2008, it was worst, way worst; but so far, this year, top all in the worst i´ve ever seen from MS.
What can be announced at the E3 that makes someone say, i´ll buy one?
Splinter Cell? Alan Wake? APB?
All of those are going to the PC too, so...
What are they going to do also, more "exclusive" DLC?
Microsoft can´t live on Halo and Gears alone, they need something more to show for it, that´s why i´m anxious for their E3 press conference, because that´s, imo, their last big chance.

No games on the PS3 hold my interest and any big game is usually available on both consoles....I might pick one up this holiday season for blu ray purposes and I do like the Uncharted and God of War franchises, but thats really it

well IH, Sony doesn't have that either...I bought a PSone to play MGS and FF VII....those games moved consoles on their own...the PS2 didn't have many titles that did that and the PS3 hasn't had one yet...

It's interesting though looking at the 360 vs. the PS3 in terms of sales. The top 3 best selling games for the PS3 have been GTA IV, Call of Duty: WAW and Metal Gear Solid IV. I got that from here.

For the 360, I couldn't find the most up to date one but based on wikipedia it's Halo 3, Gears of War 1 & 2, followed by GTA IV.

I guess what I find interesting that for the 360 so far, 3 out of it's top 4 best selling games have been exclusives while for the PS3, it's only 1 out of it's top 3.

I really don't understand why you keep bringing this up. Is this suppose to mean something on either part. We all know that Gears and Halo are megablockbuster titles and anything with their names are going to sell like hotcakes. The only titles that PS3 has as exclusives to compete to that status is MGS and GOW really. One of which has yet to hit the console.

I only brought it up in terms of the topic of "exclusives". I just still think it's ironic that some people are saying exclusives this and exclusives that when PS3 seems to be doing better with 3rd party games.

I like exclusives, contrary to many here.
Not because they are exclusive per se, but because they give me a reason to have bought one console over the other; or give me a reason for wanting to.
Multiplatform games, as the name state, goes everywhere, so, there is no reason to have one console over the other.

I got you, but like I said, your taking huge blockbuster titles like COD, Gears, Halo; titles that are bound to sell bundle upon bundles and comparing them to Sony exclusives, that quite frankly, simply don't have that selling power. The PS3 has had some good selling exclusive titles, just not blockbuster status. So, obviously those titles will be left out of range of many top lists. When Twisted Metal and GOWIII comes out we'll see how much that changes.

That's what 1st/2nd party titles are for. Let the companies behind the hardware sell it to you.

I'm interested in which does better Mass Effect 2 vs. God of War 3 since they should be out at the same time.

And for the record, I'm a video game ****e.

Nintendo, Gamecube, Gameboy, Gameboy SP, Wii, Gameboy DSi

Playstation, Playstation 2, PSP

Xbox and Xbox 360

I love Metal Gear Solid. I've been playing Metal Gear ever since Nintendo. But right now MGS4 is a $470 video game for me. Even if it was lowered to $250 or even $300. It's still a hard sell for someone who's had a 360 since 2006.

ME2 will probably sell better then GOWIII. Sequel to a critically lauded and loved original IP, more 360s then PS3s, and it's coming on PC as well. I think GOWIII will do very well though.

Hey, I got you on MGS4 not justifying a purchase of a PS3. Isn't it great that that's basically all you're missing out on that you seem to be interested, though :)

Terminator may have been canceled yesterday, but learning that I will finally be able to enjoy all of the downloadable content for Fallout 3 helps bring some brightness back into my week. :O

With 2 more DLC, I have to hustle with the other 3. Finished the first 2 quests of Anchorage already.

Also with another 2 DLC, I hope they raise the level cap to like 40.

I wonder if they're going to do an actual expansion pack for this game. Is that something you guys would be interested in after five DLC packs? Or would you be suffering some Fallout fatigue by that point?

Here's the big dilemma for me... I could just start DL'ing the content as soon as its available, but if I wait for the GOTY edition in October, then I can trade in my original copy of the game and only spend $30. If I download each individual piece, I'll get to play it sooner, but I'll end up spending $50 and miss out on whatever fancy looking box they choose to pack the GOTY edition in. Hrmrmrm...

Id wait and save the money

I think they said game of the year one will only have operation anchorage, the pitt, and broken steel - the other two you would then still have to download...

No it will have all 5 DLC packs

really!? oh okay just thought I read it would only have the 1st three

...I dont like waiting. I wanted the DLC as soon as I had first heard of it. I downloaded Broken Steel as soon as it came out. With most games now, its easier since I barely started my Live account so with some games, I can just go out and buy their special editions and what not, but for newer content, I like being able to get it from the get go.

I'm going to have get a larger harddrive.

All this DLC is draining my HDD space.

Check out your hard drive...I thought I was going under 5 GB and then I found I had a lot of videos and whatnot that I could delete.

Unless your hard drive is filled with Rock Band/Guitar Hero songs.

I think most of my stuff is DLC: Fallout 3, Fable 2, TFU, GTA IV and Mass Effect.
