Nevermind, had to restart my system and something popped out.

I played this last night and I can say you could easily beat the main missions in about 2 hours. Finding all the places might take about another 2 hours and then there are some side missions and I've only done one. So far I haven't found any new named armor or anything like that.

Like Geo said the tribals are ridiculously tough. Even on normal their double barrel shotguns and axes take me down to near death in about 4-5 hits. I have all my stats maxed out except for Melee and one other unimportant one. I don't get how I'm not seeing anymore damage done to these enemies.

I take it you are stripped of your weapons when you head to Point Lookout?

No, you can come and go freely as you want. At roughly 300 caps per ticket.

Then those SOB'es with their shotguns and axes are getting either a rail spike, plasma blast or tesla blast in the head.

I was playing Death from Above last night and I was hitting those Enclave guys with my rail gun, I'd aim for each arm then leg. Watching them drop their weapon and then start limping made me feel all warm inside.

The Telsa Cannon doesn't do **** to them. It takes like 4-5 blasts to take one out.

In my house of Megaton, I've been hording weapons. So I'll bring a nice variety of melee and non energy weapons.

Doing good so far. You guys were right, the Tribals were tough. Made it past the first mission. I like it so far and have to hand it to the Developers. Each DLC is such a different feel.

im down to the last achievement of the DLC. Find all 29 locations.

29? I counted 32 total. My friend said he counted 31 and he was missing one.

I finished this up last night. Pretty cool DLC I just wish we got something on par with Shivering Isles from Oblivion. Maybe Mothership Zeta will be it.

I think you only need 29 to unlock the achievement.

The endings really just amount to different images and a slightly different voice over depending on two or so of the decisions you made during the game. I can only think of 3 major decisions you make that effect the voice over.

The Broken Steel ending is just the normal ending, but it fades to black at the end and cuts to a few weeks later or whatever. The actual ending of the game is not different at all, it just gets tacked on.

Oh, okay. I see.

But, are the different outcomes from the voice over, which I assume will be Ron Perlman's, tied into your karma or just the pivotal decisions?

I'm probably one or two missions away from beating the game under my Good karma character, so the only choices I can think of off the top of my head is probably what I chose to do when I finally met Eden.

Just to doublecheck, I'm not missing anything if I just go ahead and buy Broken Steel before beating the game?

You can't play Broken Steel until you beat the game regardless because Broken Steel occurs AFTER the events of Take it Back, while the other 3 (Anchorage, Pitt and I'm assuming Point Lookout, you can play before the end of the regular game).

Right, but ultimately it serves as a type of Epilouge to the ending you'd see either way, right? Doesn't alter the game's ending, aside from continuing the story?

And, I'm starting to wonder if I can handle all the HDD space drainage. Although, I've heard but never tried deleting DLC and re-downloading from history. If I can do that, then I think HDD space will never be a problem for me.

If you go with one of the original choices of either sacrificing yourself OR Lyons then it's the same. However, if you sacrifice one of your companions then the ending is similar to the Lyons one except with your companion.

The only difference added to the end of the game is that you get 3 options for the final decision instead of 2. The new option isn't that different. Otherwise the ending is exactly the same with or without Broken Steel. So feel free to buy it beforehand.

Before Broken Steel, although it would be logical to send Fawkes or Sergeant RL-3 in there, but I felt, in terms of the story, it would only make sense if it was my character who finished the quest. Although, if the only way I could have did Broken Steel was to send Lyons in, I would have done that. :o

I hope we get a surplus of Alien Blasters and Alien Power Cells from the next DLC.

I used it sparingly only as a last resort against the deathclaws.

I haven't really used any of mine.

I find the dart gun to be pretty effective against the deathclaws, personally. Providing you can cripple they're legs.

So far, I've greatly enjoyed my Chinese Stealth Suit. Love that thing. He almost...almost...looks like Snake Eyes with it on and a sword in hand.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll probably go pick up some Microsoft Points and get myself Point Lookout and Broken Steel.

haha, love the chinese stealth suit

I wear it 90% just cause how badass it looks. Reminds me of MGS.

Just finished Point Lookout. I just wish I could have f'ing killed Tobar. Take a piece of my brain will you.
