getting that map perk, whatever it's called, the one that shows you all the locations, kept me from visiting places.. since I didn't remember all the places I've seen, so.. I'm definitely going to play a 3rd time..

Aren't the unvisited places all marked with a black box that has a white line through it?

yeah but there's a perk that automatically enables all locations, so you can fast travel to unvisited places

Ooooh, I thought it just revealed all of the markers. I went with Grim Reaper's Sprint at level 20. I can only get about 3 shots off with my AP in VATS, so I wanted it to recharge quicker.

Well, I never actually tried that perk--I tried a cheat that supposedly does the same thing

I refuse to cheat on my first game. Next time, though, I'll probably indulge a bit.

:hehe: yeah--I only used some cheats the 2nd time. Mostly, to get mini-nukes

I think I'm gonna jack up my Energy Weapons and give myself an alien blaster and a constant stream of ammo early on in the next game. It's just so damn satisfying to turn everything into piles of dust.

It doesn't. The Explorer Perk just shows you where things are, you have to travel there.

In my new game, I actually am doing the GNR mission when I'm supposed to. And after you kill the behemoth you're supposed to take a Fat Man and 8 nukes from a fallen soldier, but for some reason all the Brotherhood wanted me dead. I have no idea what their problem was, I guess I accidently killed on of their own during the battle, but I stole those mini nukes and ran the hell away. :cwink:

Aren't you supposed to be good this time around? ;)

I'm trying to be. I went inside GNR, it told me to pick up the Fat Man and the Nukes from the fallen soldier. I went back outside to do so and they all just started shooting at me. I have no idea what happened.

One of those people is Sarah from much later in the game, I hope she forgives me for my sins by then.

But seriously, the temptation is insanely strong to not be good. I picked the Fortune Finder perk so I can get more caps (Hopefully equal to my stash from all my killing rampages last time)

I'm a saint and I've got upwards of 11,000 caps. How is it so hard for other people to find caps?

Before playing this game I kept reading how ammo is scarce but Im not finding that to be a problem at all. I have plenty of ammo and never feel like Im close to running out

So who has had the UFO encounter?

It just happened to me when I was walking down to RoboCo. All of a sudden a UFO quickly flew over me and then exploded. It happened in like the worst spot possible because it was right over a jagged cliff, so all of the Alien Power Cells were scattered up and down this cliff and I'm sure I missed a ton, but I did manage to find the Firelancer. :woot:

I met Tammy the other day. What a real b-tch. Someone will be getting a bullet to the head

Whaaaa:huh: I thought you can only find the crashed alienship

Yeah, I found the ship but I didn't see it crash. It was already just lying there all smashed up.

Ammo for certain guns is easy to find. If you use hunting rifles and either version of the assault rifle, for example, you'll never have an ammo problem (or a repair problem, for that matter) because practically all of the Raiders and quite a few of the Super Mutants carry those weapons and some ammo for them. If you happen to use .44 ammo or .308 ammo, however, you'll find yourself hovering around 100 rounds all the time, and that's only if you don't use the magnum/Lincoln's Repeater or the sniper rifle too frequently. Now that the Enclave has showed up in my game, I'm finding a ton of laser weapons. I'm not too keen on energy weapons, though, so I leave them be (although I do take the ammo just in case I ever do need to use an energy weapon, since ammo weighs nothing).

Ok, so i started a new game. I plan on blowing up Megaton. I put in the bomb. Now All I have to do is find Mister Burke at the Tenpenny place. But I cannot find him. Ive looked in the suites, all the rooms upstairs. Downstairs suites. Outside around the area. Nothing.

So then I completed the mission where I kill all the nearby ghouls. Came back tried to look for Mister Burke and still can't find him. Any help where he's at? Im thinking maybe I did something to make him disappear?

Burke is standing on Tenpenny's Penthouse Balcony, next to the briefcase which has the detonator. Set 'Power of the Atom' as your main quest and it should direct you to him.

My girlfriend recently bought Fallout 3 for the PS3 and has just gotten to the point of meeting Three-Dog. However, her PS3 was being glitchy last night and when she's turned it back on this morning some of the paths she's cleared with mutants are now filled with the original mutants, and she's having problems with her local map.

I've done a google search for any sort of glitch that covers this but can't find any, and as I've never played the game I don't know if this is just a glitch or if her save has become corrupted. Anyone experienced this?

Are you sure the Mutants haven't just respawned? They do that pretty often. I've fought the same Super Mutants in the Mall several times already.

Oh, and I have Charon and Fawkes as my companions now. I basically let them wander around killing people while I scrounge for ammo and junk to build stuff. :) I just got done with Raven Rock (awesome explosion at the end there) and am heading to meet Elder Lyons now.
