I disagree, every other movie has got their trailer out online for next summer
Hunter are you kidding me, they just wrapped principal photography. You think that they think NATM is going to recieve a huge bump because FF2's trailer is attached. Heck only the ultra geeks knew it was coming. But the large audience for NATM would create a buzz. SO I think they pulled out all the stops to get it in for this weekend as mattc said.
It may be as simple as this, the process of the online organizations recieving and signing off on the release or whatever beureacratic (spellcheck somebody) might take a day or two to get the release faxed back and stuff. As this is the week before christmas coordination might now have been good, maybe fox is the culprit here but I think that if they could have gotten everything out on time they would have.
As for everyone getting their trailers out, I have seen a few online and I don't hink I am being biased when I say that the marvel trailers are becoming state of the art and they are putting a great deal of effort into these trailers and the SPFX.
I saw the first Tranformers teaser and that was nonsense. This last trailer was comparable to what FF2 has done but it left cold honestly and I am going to see that movie too.
Only the Ghostrider and Spiderman's trailers are on the same level of SPFX so we might want to chill.
Everyone has already said that Fox is spending a boatload of money, time and resources to try to get this right.
Given that we are getting SS, Galactus, New and improved Doom, improved Thing (according to willie) Fantasticar and updated Baxter Building and more international set pieces we should be thankful don't you think.
It is clear the guys are trying, and yes they are a business and have to make money, but who else is giving us these movies other than Fox and Sony and now Marvel, Look what Universal did after hulk underperformed and look at SR, I tell you that guy Singer dodged a bullet.
I want the trailer online too but ok we have to wait a couple days for the online release or spend a couple dollars, its tough I know, who I really feel bad for are the people outside of the US, its really tough on them.
Maybe SuperheroHype can jump in h ere and tell us what the process of getting and releasing trailers is about from time of notification to release or whatever is involved, somebody, educate us.
Cause maybe I am totally offbase and Fox just wanted to mess with our minds and dissapoint the online fans, cause Rothman must be the devil (just kidding Rothman, you are becoming one of my favorite guys).
