I'm not sure why some of the fans here are shocked about this.

The studio did the exact same thing with the first Fantastic Four teaser trailer; they paired it with Elektra to boost its sales. It then went online the following Monday.

They're not even trying to hide this fact.

If you live up North, and wear a big coat and have one of those handy cams or one of the other thousand different types of small cameras that have great quality.. Hell, so Digital Camera's have great Video Quality..

...But, yeah.. I geuss its better than nothing.
Yeah not that many people have that stuff and if they do i don't thin kthey wanna get caught.

What exactly happens to you when you get caught with a video camera in a movie theater? Do they take your camera and the film with it and call the cops on you. Since it is illegal to video record movies isn't?

I disagree, every other movie has got their trailer out online for next summer

Hunter are you kidding me, they just wrapped principal photography. You think that they think NATM is going to recieve a huge bump because FF2's trailer is attached. Heck only the ultra geeks knew it was coming. But the large audience for NATM would create a buzz. SO I think they pulled out all the stops to get it in for this weekend as mattc said.

It may be as simple as this, the process of the online organizations recieving and signing off on the release or whatever beureacratic (spellcheck somebody) might take a day or two to get the release faxed back and stuff. As this is the week before christmas coordination might now have been good, maybe fox is the culprit here but I think that if they could have gotten everything out on time they would have.

As for everyone getting their trailers out, I have seen a few online and I don't hink I am being biased when I say that the marvel trailers are becoming state of the art and they are putting a great deal of effort into these trailers and the SPFX.

I saw the first Tranformers teaser and that was nonsense. This last trailer was comparable to what FF2 has done but it left cold honestly and I am going to see that movie too.

Only the Ghostrider and Spiderman's trailers are on the same level of SPFX so we might want to chill.

Everyone has already said that Fox is spending a boatload of money, time and resources to try to get this right.

Given that we are getting SS, Galactus, New and improved Doom, improved Thing (according to willie) Fantasticar and updated Baxter Building and more international set pieces we should be thankful don't you think.

It is clear the guys are trying, and yes they are a business and have to make money, but who else is giving us these movies other than Fox and Sony and now Marvel, Look what Universal did after hulk underperformed and look at SR, I tell you that guy Singer dodged a bullet.

I want the trailer online too but ok we have to wait a couple days for the online release or spend a couple dollars, its tough I know, who I really feel bad for are the people outside of the US, its really tough on them.

Maybe SuperheroHype can jump in h ere and tell us what the process of getting and releasing trailers is about from time of notification to release or whatever is involved, somebody, educate us.

Cause maybe I am totally offbase and Fox just wanted to mess with our minds and dissapoint the online fans, cause Rothman must be the devil (just kidding Rothman, you are becoming one of my favorite guys).

I don't know.. I think we just asume its something bad.. I think they just take your film and ban you from the theatre.. I don't know.. Hold on.. I'll call them..

Really helped SR didn't it:o

Why would you even want to see it in ****ty quality from a camcorder? Defeats the point. If you don't want to pay for Night at the Museum, sneak in just at the beginning while you are seeing something else... Big screen makes such a difference. I know - I just saw it at 10:05am! It effing rocks! :hyper:

Just grabbed 4 tickets to see Pan's Labyrinth on Dec 28th in Hollywood and Doug Jones will be there! I gotta print up that SS pic on hi-gloss paper and have him sign it. I'll bring my silver marker too. :)

Doug Jones isn't the silver surfer... He's like the motion reference. But knock yourself out if his signature gives you a buzz...

You lucky bastard...

Oh.. yeah, I got off the phone with the Crocker Park Regal Theatre in Avon, OH. You get a fine maybe some jail time, banishment from theatre and maybe a court case...

Just saw it.
We got caught in mall Christmas traffic and miraculously walked into the theater exactly 2 seconds before the trailer began. :yay:

I can confirm that yes, the YouTube camera phone version folks are watching is completely, unbelievably blurry. There is so much lost.

After seeing the real thing, I am completely, 100% satisfied. The Surfer was the Surfer. I could discern no liberties taken whatsoever with his character.

There's a moment where the Surfer phases out from a building that's slowed down a bit to allow the audience a full reveal, and it's quite nice. (Johnny is saying "Cool" in response to that.)

The features of the Thing are definitely improved. There seems to be more definition of his rocky plates and he's definitely a deeper shade of orange.
The shot where he looks up, slack-jawed, at the Surfer is perfect.

My guess is the Surfer doesn't just whizz by, but makes a real stop - and perhaps an announcement - before Johnny gives chase. This would explain the whole rooftop wedding, which is a deviation from the comics.

There was a fair amount of good audience response, starting the moment the Thing was shown. Lots of "whoa" sounds. Folks were diggin' it.

There was a guy that yelled out "Yeah!" as the "4" logo slammed on the screen at the end. (No, it wasn't me.)

Quite simply: This is not FF1.

I do hope they make it available online soon so you can all see it.
It is really something.

:ff:

Probably when the site goes live with the teaser online we'll put it up. Right now, only a small percentage of people could even vote on that subject at this time.

cool

See now is all that worth it just to put a 90 second teaser on the web that most people will complain about the quality. of the picture. I think not. It's not gonna kill you people outside of the US to wait a few days. You people are always like Gimme,Gimme,Gimme now!. You just gotta wait like highguard said there's stuff they gotta go througj before they can legally post the trailer.
