TEASERS and TRAILERS aren't subjected to copyright laws. They fall under the "fair use" category, so they cannot be considered bootlegs nor illegal.

ENTIRE MOVIES, on the other hand, do count as bootlegs and are illegal.

Plus, Movie Theaters can caugh you if you're recording the movie during the projection, but they can't bar you at the door if you're carrying a video camera.
Wait... you're talking about outside the US, right?

Have you ever read the back of your theater stub ? " The management reserves the right to revoke the license granted by this ticket by refunding the purchase price". When you buy a ticket to see a movie, you have bought a license to 1 copy of that movie. so if you pay to see the movie, you have the legal right to 1 copy of that movie. So if you pay to see the movie, and record a copy, or download a copy from the internet, that is not illegal, because you have allready bought a license, by paying to see it.

I have friends that do it all the time. They go see a movie, then download a copy from the internet. It is illegal if you make more then 1 copy and give it to or sell it to your friends. That is what the term license means. You pay to see the movie you have bought a licence to that movie, you see it 2 times that is 2 licenses to the movie, ect. I saw FF 9 times, so I have 9 linceses, but I still bought my copy from Wal-Mart.

Buddy you are loosing all credabilty here. You tried to whip people into a frenzy and that is not good. You teased us with a lie, that was really naughty.

Actually, I was trying to give a thousand of bickering idiots something else to do instead of bicker here, that's why I sent em to a japanese site. All that *****ing was really getting on my nerves.

Now, if the Hype wants to play nice with the studios, fine. They're being politicial. Good for them.

But laws are still laws. And if there's no such thing as a bootlegged trailer, then there's no such thing as a bootlegged trailer. Capice?

It doesn't matter its just plain out respect.. If a MOD asks you to not post a video link then don't do it. Okay.. Would you like it if someone came to your house and deliberately argued with you? What about if they came barging into your house and whipped everyone into a fever frenzy over something they KNEW was a lie.. Bottom line is.. DO WHAT A MOD SAYS// Got it?

At best, CAMS. But they're not bootlegged.

But if you make a cam of the entire NATM and put it on the Net, even if it's for free, THEN you're making a cam bootleg and you should be put in jail with a large african-american man named Bubba who has a penchant for greek love.

Are you implying something about african american men. lol. Why an african american man as opposed to say an asian man.

These are all stereotypes, God has blessed us all equally well, hasn't he, on average I mean?

Hhahhahhah, and greek love, you can go to hell for that lol, no seriously.

The solution, avoid illegal activities, stay out of jail and if you can't resist then ask the chaplin to pray for you.

Umm on second thought make sure that chaplin is a woman. you know how jail is lol.

African Americans, Asians, Caucasions, Hispanics, hey we all put our pants (skirts for the ladies) on the same way, thats what Christmas is all about, lets all get along. Its our duty as human beings.

Dude, a ticked stub is worth a ton of **** on a court of law, just because it's vague. It doesn't states clearly, beyond any reasonable doubt, WHAT kind of license they're giving you. License to what? Using the Theater seats? Eating their popcorn? Filming the film?

But Dew is not a mod, she's an admin. Plus, my beef is not with the fact that she wants us to stop posting YouTube links. My beef is with the fact that she called it a "bootleg trailer". There are no "bootleg trailers".

Yeah I heard those ticked stubs are some badasses in a court of law.:cwink:

It's copyright infringement and surely Fox knows in advance this will be done and they're not pissed about it but at the same time they MUST request sites remove it to enforce the law otherwise if they allow it...Everyone must have known when they put the link here it'd be removed. Again Fox isn't stupid. They want this stuff linked so they can remove it and stir up the excitement. No biggie. The harder it is to find the more anxious people get. I posted a bulletin with it on my myspace page because I knew eventually it would move down the list and vanish. I wouldn't just throw it on my page.

I went to all 3 and there is nothing about the trailer. Mind you, I don't read Japanese, so I might have missed it. Maybe you would grace us with a link????

It's pretty well been decided that he doesn't have a link.

^^^ Yeah he was just playing us, he took our righteous anger at Fox not giving everyone the trailer all at once or asking some to hold on for a few days and made us all mad, cause he was irritated at us being upset.

So he punished us all. I understand his motivation but his actions are a little sick.

But its Christmas dude, we love ya anyway.

..... at least until tuesday

Man I was just thinking, imagine all that must be involved in that opening sequence which might be just a snippet of the opening action.

We know from earlier reports that Sue and ben and Reed are invloved in protecting people from the helicopter crash. Now we know that johnny has to be saved from his sky dive which if they string it out right might be something in itself.

think about it they moved too fast for anyone to get to torch in time.

I don't think the surfer saves him so I am assuming that reentry will wake up the Human torch.

This people is the opening sequence. The opening sequence.

When we think about that and compare SR 10 million dollar krypton scene that was cut to a reentry crash and even his plane rescue we are talking serious stuff here.

Then we have Doom and stuff, we already know what happens to the Fantasticar and they have to survive that or whoever was in that module at the time.

It really is looking like Story is serious, this may be a real action film in the true sense of the word.

now I know this must cost and now we are seeing what Story was talking about back in the summer when Fox said you have to cut out something.

Story must be an action geek. What is it they had to cut, I want to know.

that is the one thing makes me wish Fox would treat Tim like TW treated Singer, just give him a boatload of money and let him play.

of course guys if FF2 does monster business this is what we could be looking at for FF3, an unbelievable spectacle.

I will say this, I have a suspicion that when Fox claims July 4th 2009 (2010) other studious may finally stay clear.

I want FF2 to beat transformers in the worst way now. Just so the FF can make a statement and have their day.

Tim Story said the following:

1) Now origins out of way action will be right from the start.
2) We'll see the Doom everyone's been waiting for.

I have faith in Tim "Barbershop" Story..
if he does manage to screw this up and thats a big if...

then he's with Ang Lee and Joel..

There are two things I've read on this thread that astound me:

1.) That people have the petty audacity to split hairs over what is considered illegal material for our website and what isn't. There's no argument...and this is not a democracy. Posters who release links from youtube or any other non-studio sanctioned source here will get into trouble. Simple.

2.) That you guys actually engaged Dew K. Mosi on the subject??? Tsk, tsk. :down:eek:

Action, action, action. That's what we will get. If this is the opening sequence, and have not seen the helicopter thing, imagine what the rest will be like ? This is going to be a fly by your seat, fasten your seatbelt, roller coster ride. The kids will eat it up. It will beat Transformers, and Ghost Rider, and BB, and SR, and the 3 X-Men movies. The only superhero movies it will not beat is any of the Spider-Man movies, including Spider-Man 3. I like your thinking. Time for FF to make a statement as what it is, the greatest comic book ever. This movie has the potential to make a huge statement. And make lots of cash for Fox. And if it hits it big, sky will be the limit for 3. Story has been chomping at the bit, since he directed the 1st one which he had no imput into anything. They hired him, and said here. This time his imput and direction will be seen.
