Whatever they do...I hope they make the costume as close to the comics as possible. Like Raimi's Spider-Man outfit.

IMO, the Flash outfit looks BAD whenever they try to modernize it.

Fixed...lol. Though I do agree with your original statement.

i suggested her for wondy months back but it went down like a lead Zeppelin.

Looking forward to it. They need an animated series for THE FLASH already.

i just wish they were adapting a better story.

BUT, i should have something cool to show you guys soon :)

no, nothing officially related to anything, but it'll be pretty cool

I'm with you man. Quicksilver heading to the big screen before Flash! He needs a hit TV show, a hit cartoon series, something to give him more pop because they cannot rush a movie at this point to beat out the Avengers.

You know Joss is gonna make Pietro look awesome and his powers look really dynamic.

^^ And you have no idea how much that pisses me the **** off that freaking QUICKSILVER will be in a MOVIE before THE FLASH. What the actual **** man. :cmad:

Sometimes...I wonder if they did that on purpose to thumb their noses at DC, lol. DC, who very OBVIOUSLY have the greatest speedster....EVER!!! And they put this also-ran in their movie. :argh:

Dont get me started man. Now they are gonna have to work ut a whole set of speed rules that applies to dc characters to set them apart. Thankfully its Joss so it will look just a bit better than tv sfx.

Haha yeah, that's true. Lol. I felt like Avengers had a psuedo "tv feel" in comparison with some of the other Marvels. Not that I'm hatin', I loved Avengers.

BUT **** QUICKSILVER. :argh:

Oh and I posted this in the MOS thread earlier when we were talking about The Flash earlier, but in addition to my extremely detailed and lengthy Flash movie ideas (as seen below me in my SIG here), this is how I think they should do The Flash trilogy if they were doing a DCU ala the Marvel Movie U:

Flash 1: Origin, villain is the Mirror Master
Flash 2: Barry discovers time/dimension/reality travel by accident with his powers, works with Jay Garrick (Flash of different dimension) and fights Reverse Flash aka Thawne, young Wally West is introduced, maybe gets powers (minor subplot) and is possibly shown as Kid Flash briefly
Flash 3: BIG EPIC END to THE FLASH trilogy, Flash faces off against the ANTI MONITOR, other DCU heroes appear (JLAers, Superman, Batman, WW, GL, etc, but this isn't their movie so they're supporting characters who are doing things off screen mostly), Wally is more seasoned as Kid Flash now, Barry in the end makes the ultimate sacrifice, a very young Wally gets The Flash ring/suit, it's the last scene in the movie.

This sets it up for a film series down the line or potential tv series and they can do it like the Star Wars films in a way and use the "original" trilogy as the background/basis for it and have a "new" ("prequel" but NOT "prequel" trilogy if we're talking in Star Wars terms) with Wally, in the third film of the Wally series, have Barry Allen return/Wally bring him back or 'save' him or whatever and they all live happily ever after; Jay, the alternate reality Flash, Barry, the 'original' Flash, Wally, the torch bearer, and Impulse/Bart, the symbol of the future speedsters.

(Barry is my favorite, Wally is my second fave, although I prefer him as Kid Flash most the time but he is my second favorite Flash, and I only like Bart as Impulse, lol)

crazy idea: what if a big chunk of the first Flash movie takes place in the future, ala Back to the Future 2?

Barry is set to marry Patty Spivot. After the lab accident and a fight with Patty however, he accidentally runs extremely far into the middle of nowhere; not only in space, but in time.

He meets an adult Bart Allen, who informs him of the date, etc, and who shows him the ropes about his powers, the speed-force, etc. Here is where Barry gets his complex suit-in-the-ring technology (which was handed down to Bart (perhaps paradoxically) from Wally, and thus from Barry. Does the technology have no origin?).

A handful of the rogues are established and still around (because it's the future) and they all hang around together.
Barry learns that Bart was informed by Wally West that at one point in time, Barry died and Wally took over as the Flash, though nobody knows exactly when, how, or why (since they wear the same costume), and since the location of Wally West is unknown, so they can't ask him. Barry, unaware if he can change the future or not, is conflicted about whether or not to accept his destiny (and meet his death). He also learns that Bart's grandmother and his future wife is Iris West, not Patty, which complicates things.

At the end of the movie, Barry manages to get back to his own time; he saves the day from the villain who travelled back with him to kill him (in an attempt to change his future, eliminating Bart Allen from existence). At the end Barry chooses to accept his destiny, to be a hero, despite his eventual death. Although he repairs things with Patty, at the end he meets Iris West. Uh oh.

Perhaps the 2nd or 3rd movie can instead be dealing with the past (Barry's parents), ala Back to the Future 1.

I feel like, even if they were to do that, it would work better for a sequel than the first movie. I'd also prefer Wally West to Barry Allen, though at miht just be cause I grew up with Wally-Flash.

Barry invented the ring. And I know they're doing the whole Patty Spivot thing in the comics right now, but I really feel like he should be with Iris. I know they'll put him with Iris eventually anyway, he has to be. Lol.

Yeah I think Iris works better than Patty Spivot. Maybe Barry can mention her as an ex-girlfriend and then she's just a work partner.

So excited.... :woot:
ME TOO!

i asked JMC to do a manip based on a flash costume design i did and i think it turned out fantastic!

the idea for the trim is that the suit would absorb energy from the friction created when he moves and release it at those points, so they would glow brighter the faster he moves and when moving fast enough create the familiar lightning trail. I also wanted him to be wearing some sort of helmet, because brain buckets are important, and some of the other touches are just there to tie the helmet in with the rest of the suit.

hope everyone enjoys!

Glad you like it! I can't take credit for the concept but it was fun bringing a version of flash to life finally. Been wanting to do one for years but could never come up with a decent idea. :)

Not skin-tight enough. :argh:

:o

Anymore skin-tight and it would be, well, skin. ;)

I really dig it.
