...Are you still going to buy Rebirth?
No kidding
After looking around and seeing how many folks have Wally's back, I've came to the conclusion that everyone needs to go out and buy Wally stuff ASAP.
Many of them were comic readers back then. Why do the so many writers get a tingle in there crotch when they think of the silver age?
Buying Wally stuff isn't gonna help anything. The train's already a-rollin' on Barry's return, and DiDio knows that no matter how much everyone b****es, the vast majority of readers are still going to buy Flash: Rebirth and Barry's comic when they come out. And he's right because comic fans can't grasp the concept of voting with their wallets.
IMO, G.Johns made a point : the whole "police scientist" thing is a good idea, I think. With all the tv serie about scientific police, I think the idea is not bad, but come on! Wally has been a lot of things he has worked for the police as a mecanician, why couldn't he have done studies in order to become a police scientist like his uncle. They already did it in the cartoon, and I think it was pretty good. G.Johns knows how to make long term stories, was it impossible to find something for Wally as a scientist ?
So, no I won't buy it. Bringing back Barry Allen is a mistake, IMO. It is not going to work like the Green Lantern.
that doesn't mean they should be allowed to bring the Silver Age back. theyre literally taking steps backwards instead of moving forward. Many of them were comic readers back then.
exactly! it so simple.Three words: All-Star Flash.
that doesn't mean they should be allowed to bring the Silver Age back. theyre literally taking steps backwards instead of moving forward.
i'm wondering if the other "smaller" companies like Wildstorm and Image like to screw with their own continuities too.

well i don't read anything else outside of Marvel and DC so i dont know. but i can't help but wonder if the other companies and books like Gen13 or Y the Last Man go through the same crap my favorite heroes go through because their editors want to everything like it was 30 years ago (Spidey fan here, so im not just talking to DC).
Just giving you a possible reason.
They just want to use their favorite characters and now they have the power to do it.
It's just the Silver Age's time for a revival from its readers.
ironically i have been considering reading that book just because i really like his design.Books like Y the Last man are a completely different animal really. They're creator owned, and usually have a definite beginning, middle, and end. Y for instance ended months ago. So it's not an ongoing title like, say Spidey or Superman, it is finite. If you're sick of the constant ebb and flow and re-revamping of superhero universes, you may wanna try some of these books out. Invincible would be a very good one if you're mainly into Superheroes. One man's vision, no editorial in the way with stupid demands to regress or nothin'. A virtually self contained universe.

does she use that often? cuz i always wondered why she would even need a jet if she herself can fly- unless of course its faster than she is.The best example of reintroducing Silver Age stuff into modern comics for me is still Rucka's recreation of Wonder Woman's invisible jet as a semi-sentient, shapeshifting, invisible entity. She doesn't use Rucka's at all. It wound up sacrificing itself to save Themyscira, I think.does she use that often? cuz i always wondered why she would even need a jet if she herself can fly- unless of course its faster than she is.
